TL;DR: Patients were older than in previous studies and rates were high in all ethnic groups studied except Black African and Chinese people, present the highest incidence of MND reported globally in the past 50 years.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identifying key signs of motor neurone disease in primary care: a nested case–control study using the QResearch database
Xue W Mei,Judith Burchardt,Tom Alan Ranger,Christopher J McDermott,Aleksandar Radunovic,Carol Coupland,Julia Hippisley-Cox +6 more
TL;DR: The first study that has identified, confirmed and quantified the association of key symptoms and signs with MND diagnosis is identified and may be used to improve risk stratification and earlier detection of MND in primary care.
