Journal ArticleDOI

CsPbxMn1–xCl3 Perovskite Quantum Dots with High Mn Substitution Ratio

TL;DR: This work demonstrates the partial replacement of Pb with Mn through phosphine-free hot-injection preparation of CsPbxMn1-xCl3 QDs in colloidal solution, which greatly enhances the photoluminescence quantum yields of C sPbCl3 from 5 to 54%.
Journal ArticleDOI

Alkylthiol-Enabled Se Powder Dissolution in Oleylamine at Room Temperature for the Phosphine-Free Synthesis of Copper-Based Quaternary Selenide Nanocrystals

TL;DR: The dissolution of elemental Se in oleylamine by alkylthiol reduction at room temperature, which generates soluble alkylammonium selenide, which is highly reactive for hot-injection synthesis of selenides semiconductor NCs, such as Cu(2)ZnSnSe(4), Cu(InGa)Se(2), and CdSe.
Journal ArticleDOI

Controllable Synthesis of Stable Urchin-like Gold Nanoparticles Using Hydroquinone to Tune the Reactivity of Gold Chloride

TL;DR: In this article, the authors reported an aqueous synthesis of urchin-like gold nanoparticles (NPs) in the presence of hydroquinone through a seed-mediated growth approach.
Journal ArticleDOI

pH dependent catalytic activities of platinum nanoparticles with respect to the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide and scavenging of superoxide and singlet oxygen

TL;DR: A systematic study on the Pt NP-catalyzed decomposition of hydrogen peroxide and scavenging of superoxide and singlet oxygen over a physiologically relevant pH range of 1.12-10.96 shows that Pt NPs possess peroxidase-like activity of decomposing H2O2 into ˙OH under acidic conditions, but catalase- like activity of producing H2 O and O2 under neutral and alkaline conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Folding Up of Gold Nanoparticle Strings into Plasmonic Vesicles for Enhanced Photoacoustic Imaging

TL;DR: The stepwise self-assembly of hollow plasmonic vesicles with vesicular membranes containing strings of gold nanoparticles (NPs) is reported and demonstrates that the physical properties of the materials can be tailored by controlling the spatial arrangement of NPs within assemblies to achieve a better performance in biomedical applications.
