Notch Signaling Augments BMP9-Induced Bone Formation by Promoting the Osteogenesis-Angiogenesis Coupling Process in Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs).
Junyi Liao,Qiang Wei,Yulong Zou,Jiaming Fan,Dongzhe Song,Jing Cui,Wenwen Zhang,Yunxiao Zhu,Chao Ma,Xue Hu,Xiangyang Qu,Liqun Chen,Xinyi Yu,Zhicai Zhang,Claire Q.F. Wang,Chen Zhao,Zongyue Zeng,Ruyi Zhang,Shujuan Yan,Tingting Wu,Xingye Wu,Yi Shu,Jiayan Lei,Yasha Li,Hue H. Luu,Michael J. Lee,Russell R. Reid,Guillermo A. Ameer,Jennifer Moriatis Wolf,Tong-Chuan He,Wei Huang +30 more
TL;DR: It’s conceivable that simultaneous activation of the BMP9 and Notch pathways should efficiently couple osteogenesis and angiogenesis of MSCs for successful bone tissue engineering.
Journal ArticleDOI

W. Ho,Aravind Athiviraham,Michael J. Lee,Jennifer Moriatis Wolf,Russell R. Reid,Tong-Chuan He +34 more
TL;DR: It is expected that the continued improvements in adenoviral vectors should provide great opportunities for cell and gene therapies to live up to its enormous potential in personalized medicine.
Journal ArticleDOI
lncRNA H19 mediates BMP9-induced osteogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) through Notch signaling
Junyi Liao,Junyi Liao,Xinyi Yu,Xinyi Yu,Xue Hu,Xue Hu,Jiaming Fan,Jiaming Fan,Jing Wang,Jing Wang,Zhicai Zhang,Zhicai Zhang,Chen Zhao,Chen Zhao,Zongyue Zeng,Zongyue Zeng,Yi Shu,Yi Shu,Ruyi Zhang,Ruyi Zhang,Shujuan Yan,Shujuan Yan,Yasha Li,Yasha Li,Wenwen Zhang,Wenwen Zhang,Jing Cui,Jing Cui,Chao Ma,Chao Ma,Li Li,Li Li,Yichun Yu,Yichun Yu,Tingting Wu,Tingting Wu,Xingye Wu,Xingye Wu,Jiayan Lei,Jiayan Lei,Jia Wang,Jia Wang,Chao Yang,Chao Yang,Ke Wu,Ke Wu,Ying Wu,Ying Wu,Jun Tang,Bai-Cheng He,Bai-Cheng He,Zhong-Liang Deng,Zhong-Liang Deng,Hue H. Luu,Rex C. Haydon,Russell R. Reid,Michael J. Lee,Jennifer Moriatis Wolf,Wei Huang,Tong-Chuan He,Tong-Chuan He +60 more
TL;DR: The findings suggest that the well-coordinated biphasic expression of lncRNA H19 may be essential in BMP9-induced osteogenic differentiation of MSCs, and that dysregulated H19 expression may impair normal osteogenesis, leading to pathogenic processes, such as bone tumor development.
Journal ArticleDOI
Noncanonical Wnt signaling plays an important role in modulating canonical Wnt-regulated stemness, proliferation and terminal differentiation of hepatic progenitors
Jiaming Fan,Qiang Wei,Junyi Liao,Junyi Liao,Yulong Zou,Yulong Zou,Dongzhe Song,Dongzhe Song,Dongmei Xiong,Chao Ma,Chao Ma,Xue Hu,Xue Hu,Xiangyang Qu,Xiangyang Qu,Liqun Chen,Liqun Chen,Li Li,Li Li,Yichun Yu,Yichun Yu,Xinyi Yu,Xinyi Yu,Zhicai Zhang,Zhicai Zhang,Chen Zhao,Chen Zhao,Zongyue Zeng,Zongyue Zeng,Ruyi Zhang,Ruyi Zhang,Shujuan Yan,Shujuan Yan,Tingting Wu,Tingting Wu,Xingye Wu,Xingye Wu,Yi Shu,Yi Shu,Jiayan Lei,Jiayan Lei,Yasha Li,Yasha Li,Wenwen Zhang,Wenwen Zhang,Rex C. Haydon,Hue H. Luu,Ailong Huang,Tong-Chuan He,Hua Tang +49 more
TL;DR: The results strongly suggest that noncanonical Wnts may play an important role in fine-tuning Wnt/β-catenin functions during liver development and liver regeneration and/or progenitor cell-based therapies for liver diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transcriptomic landscape regulated by the 14 types of bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) in lineage commitment and differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs).
Linghuan Zhang,Linghuan Zhang,Qing Luo,Qing Luo,Yi Shu,Yi Shu,Zongyue Zeng,Zongyue Zeng,Bo Huang,Yixiao Feng,Yixiao Feng,Bo Zhang,Bo Zhang,Xi Wang,Xi Wang,Yan Lei,Yan Lei,Zhenyu Ye,Zhenyu Ye,Ling Zhao,Ling Zhao,Daigui Cao,Daigui Cao,Lijuan Yang,Lijuan Yang,Xian Feng Chen,Xian Feng Chen,Bin Liu,Bin Liu,William Wagstaff,Russell R. Reid,Hue H. Luu,Rex C. Haydon,Michael J. Lee,Jennifer Moriatis Wolf,Zhou Fu,Tong-Chuan He,Quan Kang +37 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that BMP9 is one of the most potent BMPs in inducing osteogenic differentiation of MSCs, and many B MPs can upregulate the expression of the signal mediators of Wnt, Notch and PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathways.
