Journal ArticleDOI
Sleep disturbances increase the risk of dementia: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Le Shi,Si-Jing Chen,Meng-Ying Ma,Yanping Bao,Ying Han,Yu-Mei Wang,Jie Shi,Michael V. Vitiello,Lin Lu +8 more
TL;DR: A meta-analysis suggests that sleep disturbances may predict the risk of incident dementia and may help identify individuals who are at risk for dementia and optimize early prevention strategies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Association study of neuregulin 1 gene with schizophrenia
Jianzhong Yang,Tianmei Si,Yanyan Ruan,Yansu Ling,Ying Han,Xiling Wang,Mo Zhou,Hongyan Zhang,Qingmei Kong,Chang Liu,Darong Zhang,Y Q Yu,S Z Liu,G Z Ju,Liang Shu,Dalong Ma,Dai Zhang +16 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that the NRG1 gene may play a role in conferring susceptibility to the disease and the linkage disequilibrium analysis for each variant showed a significant difference between two transmitted alleles even after Bonferroni correction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cooccurrence and bidirectional prediction of sleep disturbances and depression in older adults: Meta-analysis and systematic review
Yanping Bao,Ying Han,Jun Ma,Ru-Jia Wang,Le Shi,Tong-Yu Wang,Jia He,Jingli Yue,Jie Shi,Xiangdong Tang,Lin Lu,Lin Lu +11 more
TL;DR: The present study pooled the prevalence of sleep disturbances and depression in community‐dwelling older adults and quantified the strength of evidence of the relationship between these two problems, finding little support for a predictive role for objective sleep characteristics in the development of depression.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tumor Tissue-Derived Formaldehyde and Acidic Microenvironment Synergistically Induce Bone Cancer Pain
Zhiqian Tong,Wenhong Luo,Yan-Qing Wang,Fei Yang,Ying Han,Hui Li,Hongjun Luo,Bo Duan,Tianle(徐天乐)) Xu,Qi-Liang Mao-Ying,Huangying Tan,Jun Wang,Hongmei Zhao,Feng-Yu Liu,You Wan,You Wan +15 more
TL;DR: The data suggest that cancer tissues directly secrete endogenous formaldehyde, and this formaldehyde at low concentration induces metastatic bone cancer pain through TRPV1 activation especially under tumor acidic environment.
Journal ArticleDOI
The rising crisis of illicit fentanyl use, overdose, and potential therapeutic strategies.
TL;DR: Because social, economic, and health problems related to the use of fentanyl and its analogs are growing, there is an urgent need to implement large-scale safe and effective harm reduction strategies to prevent fentanyl-related overdoses.
