Non-isothermal TGA study on the combustion reaction kinetics and mechanism of low-rank coal char

TL;DR: In this article, the combustion reaction kinetics of pyrolysis char of low-rank coal is studied by thermal analysis technology, and the reaction kinetic parameters were calculated by three common mode-free methods (FWO method, KAS method and Starink method); the reaction model was determined by Malek method and Popescu method.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental investigation on ignition and burnout characteristics of semi-coke and bituminous coal blends

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the burnout characteristics of semi-coke and bituminous coal blends by thermogravimetric analyzer and drop tube furnace, and found that the ignitability index and the comprehensive combustion characteristic index of the blends decrease as the blending proportion of semi coke increases, but the average activation energy increases gradually.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental study on oxy-fuel combustion of heavy oil

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the oxy-fuel combustion characteristics of heavy oil under different conditions, including the flame, temperature, and pollutant emission characteristics, and found that heavy oil combustion was stable at O 2 concentrations of 29%, as the O 2 concentration was increased, the flame began to brighten gradually, becoming shorter and thicker, while the temperature gradient became higher and the high temperature zone moved closer to the burner exit.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of offset angle of mid-secondary air nozzles on gas-particle flow characteristics in a furnace

TL;DR: In this article, a three-component particle-dynamics anemometer was used to measure the characteristics of two-phase gas-particle flows in a primary air nozzle using a gas/particle two phase test facility.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study of adsorption characteristics of calcium-based sorbents with SO3

TL;DR: In this article, the adsorption characteristics of calcium-based sorbents (Ca(OH)2, CaCO3, and CaO) with SO3 were investigated.
