Yamagami,Akira Yamamoto,Tetsuya Yoshida,Koji Yoshimura +33 more
TL;DR: The peak spectrum is reproduced by theoretical calculations, implying that the propagation models are basically correct and that different cosmic-ray species undergo a universal propagation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Measurements of primary and atmospheric cosmic-ray spectra with the BESS-TeV spectrometer
Sadakazu Haino,T. Sanuki,K. Abe,Kazuaki Anraku,Kazuaki Anraku,Yoichi Asaoka,H. Fuke,M. Imori,A. Itasaki,Tadashi Maeno,Tadashi Maeno,Yasuhiro Makida,S. Matsuda,Nagataka Matsui,H. Tanizaki,Takamasa Yamagami,Akira Yamamoto,Yoshihisa Yamamoto,K. Yamato,T. Yoshida,Kohei Yoshimura +34 more
TL;DR: In this article, the BESS-TeV spectrometer was used to precisely measure the primary and atmospheric cosmic-ray spectra with a high resolution of 7 times higher resolution in momentum measurement, and the absolute fluxes of primary protons and helium nuclei in the energy ranges, 1.540 and 1.250, respectively, were reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Precise Measurement of Cosmic-Ray Proton and Helium Spectra with the BESS Spectrometer
T. Sanuki,M. Motoki,M. Motoki,Hironori Matsumoto,Eun-Suk Seo,J. Z. Wang,K. Abe,Kazuaki Anraku,Yoichi Asaoka,M. Fujikawa,Masatoshi Imori,Tadashi Maeno,Y. Makida,Nagataka Matsui,H. Matsunaga,H. Streitmatter,Jun-ichi Suzuki,Kenichi Tanaka,Ikuo Ueda,N. Yajima,T. Yamagami,Akira Yamamoto,Tetsuya Yoshida,Koji Yoshimura +36 more
TL;DR: The magnetic rigidity of the cosmic-ray proton and helium spectra was reliably determined by highly precise measurement of the circular track in a uniform solenoidal magnetic field of 1 Tesla as discussed by the authors.

TL;DR: The magnetic rigidity of the cosmic ray was reliably determined by highly precise measurement of the circular track in a uniform solenoidal magnetic field of 1 T in 1998 as discussed by the authors, and the cosmic-ray proton and helium spectra were determined within overall uncertainties of ±5% for protons and ±10% for helium nuclei including statistical and systematic errors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Measurements of cosmic-ray low-energy antiproton and proton spectra in a transient period of solar field reversal.
Yoichi Asaoka,Y. Shikaze,K. Abe,Kazuaki Anraku,M. Fujikawa,Hideyuki Fuke,Sadakazu Haino,M. Imori,Keisuke Izumi,Tadashi Maeno,Yasuhiro Makida,S. Matsuda,Nagataka Matsui,T. Matsukawa,H. Matsumoto,H. Matsunaga,H. Matsunaga,John Mitchell,T. Mitsui,A. A. Moiseev,M. Motoki,J. Nishimura,Mitsuaki Nozaki,S. Orito,Jonathan F. Ormes,T. Saeki,T. Sanuki,M. Sasaki,Eun-Suk Seo,T. Sonoda,R. E. TL;DR: Based on measurements, a sudden increase of the *p/p flux ratio following the solar magnetic field reversal was observed, and it generally agrees with a drift model of the solar modulation.
