Two episodes of partial melting in ultrahigh-pressure migmatites from deeply subducted continental crust in the Sulu orogen, China

TL;DR: In this paper, a suite of ultrahigh pressure (UHP) migmatites in the Sulu orogen through a combined study of zircon U-Pb ages, trace elements, and oxygen isotopes, as well as rock-forming mineral and inclusion compositions were identified.
Journal ArticleDOI

Geochemical constraints on the origin of post-depositional fluids in sedimentary carbonates of the Ediacaran system in South China

TL;DR: In this article, a combined study of C O isotopes and trace elements was carried out for different microfacies of the Lantian carbonates in the southern Anhui, which is equivalent to the Doushantuo Formation of the Ediacaran system elsewhere in South China.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental studies of oxygen and hydrogen isotope fractionations between precipitated brucite and water at low temperatures

TL;DR: In this paper, the oxygen isotope fractionation between brucite and water were experimentally determined by chemical synthesis techniques at low temperatures of 15° to 120°C and showed that the fractionation is temperature dependent regardless of variations in aging time, the chemical composition, and pH value of solutions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of mineral precipitation on the sulfur isotope composition of hydrothermal solutions

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of precipitation of mineral phases on the sulfur isotopic composition of hydrothermal minerals is quantitatively evaluated in terms of a Rayleigh distillation process, where precipitation of either sulfate or sulfide minerals is considered as the removal mechanism for dissolved sulfur from a finite solution reservoir.
Journal ArticleDOI

Partial melting of the orogenic lower crust: Geochemical insights from post-collisional alkaline volcanics in the Dabie orogen

TL;DR: In this article, a combined study of whole-rock major and trace elements and Sr-Nd-Hf isotopes, and zircon U-Pb ages and Hf-O isotopes for these volcanics provides geochemical constraints on the nature of their magma sources and thus insights into reworking of the lower continental crust in a collisional orogen.
