Proceedings ArticleDOI

Applications of nonequilibrium Kubo formula to the detection of quantum noise

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the nonsymmetrized noise power spectrum is the power spectrum of a mesoscopic sample in equilibrium, even if the bare measurement, i.e. without extracting the excess part of the noise, obtains the symmetric noise.
Journal ArticleDOI

Critical and tricritical exponents of 3He-4He solutions from light-scattering data

TL;DR: In this paper, a light-scattering experiment in 3He-4He mixtures is analyzed in the perspective of the 'non-ordering' parameters scaling-laws, and the tricritical behavior is found to be characterized by the specific-heat exponent alpha =-0.9+or 0.2 and by the correlation-length exponent nu =1.15+or-01.
Journal ArticleDOI

Phase diagrams and dimensionality shift in “Random site” spin glasses

TL;DR: The effects of a uniform magnetic field on some random site spin glasses are shownto be the same as those of a uniaxial random field on a uniform magnet as mentioned in this paper, which leads to tricritical and tetracritical points and yields a heuristic explanation for the effective lowering of dimensionality by 2 in such Heisenberg systems.
Book ChapterDOI

Decoherence in Disordered Conductors at Low Temperatures, the effect of Soft Local Excitations

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that when strictly linear transport is used, the apparent low-temperature saturation of conduction electron dephasing rate is eliminated, unless a large ground state degeneracy exists.
Journal ArticleDOI

How to observe the AC Josephson-type oscillation around the quantum hall effect

TL;DR: In this article, a quantum Hall effect system whose dimension in the Hall-voltage direction is not too large compared with the magnetic length is considered, and it is shown that when a barrier, random impurities, walls) exists in the current direction, ac oscillations follow with a Josephson-type frequency ω = eV H h.
