Journal ArticleDOI

Simultaneous profiling of transcriptome and DNA methylome from a single cell

TL;DR: In this article, a method (scMT-seq) was proposed to detect transcriptome, methylome, and single nucleotide polymorphism information within single cells to dissect the mechanisms of epigenetic gene regulation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Single-cell RNA-seq reveals distinct injury responses in different types of DRG sensory neurons.

TL;DR: This study revealed the distinctive and sustained heterogeneity of transcriptomic responses to injury at single neuron level, implicating the involvement of different gene regulatory networks in nerve regeneration, neuronal cell death and neuropathy in different population of DRG neurons.

Additional file 1: of Simultaneous profiling of transcriptome and DNA methylome from a single cell

TL;DR: This work describes a novel method (scMT-seq) that simultaneously profiles both DNA methylome and transcriptome from the same cell and finds positive correlation of allelic gene body methylation with allelic expression.
Journal ArticleDOI

The size of cell-free mitochondrial DNA in blood is inversely correlated with tumor burden in cancer patients.

TL;DR: Blood cfDNA samples from hepatocellular carcinoma and prostate cancer patients were analyzed and it was found that mt-cfDNA lengths were inversely related to tumor size as well as the concentration of circulating tumor DNA.
