Journal ArticleDOI
Conformational molecular switch of the azobenzene molecule : A scanning tunneling microscopy study
Byoung-Young Choi,Se-Jong Kahng,Seungchul Kim,Hajin Kim,Hyo Won Kim,Young Jae Song,Jisoon Ihm,Young Kuk +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, an electron impact trans-cis conformational change of the isolated azobenzene molecules is explained by an electron-impact transcis conformation change of both isomers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phosphorene/rhenium disulfide heterojunction-based negative differential resistance device for multi-valued logic.
Jaewoo Shim,Seyong Oh,Dong-Ho Kang,Seo-Hyeon Jo,Muhammad Hasnain Ali,Woo-Young Choi,Keun Heo,Jaeho Jeon,Sungjoo Lee,Minwoo Kim,Young Jae Song,Jin-Hong Park +11 more
TL;DR: This work demonstrates a negative differential resistance device based on a phosphorene/rhenium disulfide (BP/ReS2) heterojunction that is formed by type-III broken-gap band alignment, showing high peak-to-valley current ratio values and a ternary inverter as a multi-valued logic application.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Platform for Large‐Scale Graphene Electronics – CVD Growth of Single‐Layer Graphene on CVD‐Grown Hexagonal Boron Nitride
Min Wang,Sung Kyu Jang,Won-Jun Jang,Minwoo Kim,Seongyong Park,Sang-Woo Kim,Se-Jong Kahng,Jae-Young Choi,Rodney S. Ruoff,Young Jae Song,Sungjoo Lee +10 more
TL;DR: This sequentially grown graphene/h-BN film shows better electronic properties than that of graphene/SiO2 or graphene transferred on h-BNFilm, and suggests a new promising template for graphene device fabrication.
Journal ArticleDOI
High-resolution tunnelling spectroscopy of a graphene quartet
Young Jae Song,A. F. Otte,A. F. Otte,Young Kuk,Yike Hu,David B. Torrance,Phillip N. First,Walt A. de Heer,Hongki Min,Hongki Min,Shaffique Adam,Mark D. Stiles,Allan H. MacDonald,Joseph A. Stroscio +13 more
TL;DR: High-resolution scanning tunnelling spectroscopy at temperatures as low as 10 mK in an applied magnetic field is used to study the top layer of multilayer epitaxial graphene, finding states with Landau level filling factors of 7/2, 9/2 and 11/2 suggestive of new many-body states in graphene.
Journal ArticleDOI
High-Performance 2D Rhenium Disulfide (ReS2) Transistors and Photodetectors by Oxygen Plasma Treatment
Jaewoo Shim,Aely Oh,Dong-Ho Kang,Seyong Oh,Sung Kyu Jang,Jaeho Jeon,Min Hwan Jeon,Minwoo Kim,Chang Hwan Choi,Jaehyeong Lee,Sungjoo Lee,Geun Young Yeom,Young Jae Song,Jin-Hong Park +13 more
TL;DR: A high-performance ReS2 -based thin-film transistor and photodetector with high on/off-current ratio, high mobility, and fast temporal response through O2 plasma treatment is reported.
