TL;DR: In this article, a fully automated adiabatic heat capacity calorimeter is reported, which has been successfully operated at temperatures from 13 K to 530 K. The performance has been examined by measurements on the standard reference materials: benzoic acid (NBS SRM39i) from 15 K to 305 K and synthetic sapphire (α-Al 2 O 3 ) from 60 K to 505 K.

Coupling Reaction between Aldehydes and Non-Activated Hydrocarbons via the Reductive Radical-Polar Crossover Pathway.

TL;DR: The generation of an organochromium-type carbanion species from a non-activated C-H bond and its nucleophilic addition to aldehydes is described and carbon radical intermediates generated by decatungstate photocatalyst-mediated hydrogen abstraction were captured by a chromium salt with the reductive radical-polar crossover reaction.

Heat capacity and phase transition of the mixed-valence compound, hexakis(acetato)oxotris(pyridine)triiron chloroform solvate

TL;DR: The heat capacity of the mixed-valence complex [Fe 3 O(O 2 CCH 3 ) 6 (py) 3 ](CHCl 3 ), where py is pyridine, has been measured with an adiabatic calorimeter between 14 and 300 K as discussed by the authors.
