IL-1 and IL-36 are dominant cytokines in generalized pustular psoriasis
Andrew Johnston,Xianying Xing,Liza Wolterink,Drew H. Barnes,Z. Yin,Z. Yin,Laura J. Reingold,J. Michelle Kahlenberg,Paul W. Harms,Johann E. Gudjonsson +9 more
TL;DR: Sustained activation of IL‐1 and IL‐36 in GPP is indicated, inducing neutrophil chemokine expression, infiltration, and pustule formation, suggesting that the IL-1/IL‐36 inflammatory axis is a potent driver of disease pathology in G PP.
Journal ArticleDOI
Induction of Alternative Proinflammatory Cytokines Accounts for Sustained Psoriasiform Skin Inflammation in IL-17C+IL-6KO Mice
Yi Fritz,Philip A. Klenotic,William R. Swindell,William R. Swindell,Z. Yin,Z. Yin,Sarah G. Groft,Li Zhang,Jaymie Baliwag,Maya I. Camhi,Doina Diaconu,Andrew Young,Alexander M. Foster,Andrew Johnston,Johann E. Gudjonsson,Thomas S. McCormick,Nicole L. Ward +16 more
TL;DR: Preclinical findings may provide insight into why patients with arthritis being treated with IL-6 inhibitors develop new onset psoriasis and why IL- 6 blockade for the treatment of psorosis has not been clinically effective.
Journal ArticleDOI
Local injection of low‐dose ixekizumab for the treatment of palmoplantar pustular psoriasis
TL;DR: The pathogenesis is clear, however, a previous study showed increased cutaneous expression of IL-17A but decreased expression ofIL-23 in PPP, which is dif-ferent from psoriasis vulgaris, which may aid in the dis-covery of new promising treatments.
Journal ArticleDOI
Local injection of micro-dose anti-interleukin-17A antibody for palmoplantar pustulosis: A real-world study.
Journal ArticleDOI
Coexistence of Psoriasis and Bullous Pemphigoid: Combination Treatment with Secukinumab and Methotrexate
TL;DR: In this paper , a rare case in which bullous pemphigoid developed in an untreated patient with chronic psoriasis was reported, and the lesions of the patient were well controlled with a combination treatment of secukinumab and methotrexate.
