Influence of negative lattice expansion and metamagnetic transition on magnetic entropy change in the compound LaFe11.4Si1.6
TL;DR: The magnetic phase transition at the Curie temperature of LaFe11.4Si1.6 with cubic NaZn13-type structure was measured as a function of temperature and magnetic field as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Recent Progress in Exploring Magnetocaloric Materials
TL;DR: The magnetocaloric effect (MCE) has attracted increasing interest because of its high efficiency and environment friendliness as mentioned in this paper, and the recent progress in exploring effective MCE materials is reviewed with emphasis on the MCE in the LaFe13-x6-based alloys discovered by us.
Journal ArticleDOI
Monolayer PtSe2, a New Semiconducting Transition-Metal-Dichalcogenide, Epitaxially Grown by Direct Selenization of Pt
Yeliang Wang,Linfei Li,Wei Yao,Shiru Song,Jia-Tao Sun,Jinbo Pan,Xiao Ren,Chen Li,Eiji Okunishi,Yuqi Wang,Eryin Wang,Yan Shao,Yu-Yang Zhang,Yu-Yang Zhang,Yu-Yang Zhang,Haitao Yang,Eike F. Schwier,Hideaki Iwasawa,Kenya Shimada,Masaki Taniguchi,Zhao-Hua Cheng,Shuyun Zhou,Shixuan Du,Stephen J. Pennycook,Sokrates T. Pantelides,Sokrates T. Pantelides,Hong-Jun Gao +26 more
TL;DR: The epitaxial growth of high-quality single-crystal, monolayer platinum diselenide (PtSe2), a new member of the layered TMDs family, by a single step of direct selenization of a Pt(111) substrate is demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Giant magnetoresistance in organic spin valves.
Dali Sun,Dali Sun,Lifeng Yin,Lifeng Yin,Cheng-Jun Sun,Hangwen Guo,Zheng Gai,Xiaoguang Zhang,Thomas Z. Ward,Zhao-Hua Cheng,J. Shen,J. Shen +11 more
TL;DR: Analysis of the current-voltage characteristics indicates that the spin-dependent carrier injection correlates with the observed MR, and depositing nanodots instead of atoms onto the organic layer using buffer layer assist growth produces a sharper interface and a giant MR.
Journal ArticleDOI
Very large magnetic entropy change near room temperature in LaFe11.2Co0.7Si1.1
TL;DR: A very large magnetic entropy change ΔS has been observed in Fe-based cubic NaZn13-type compound LaFe11.2Co0.7Si1.1 near the Curie temperature TC of 274 K.
