Journal ArticleDOI
A comparison of left ventricular endocardial, multisite, and multipolar epicardial cardiac resynchronization: an acute haemodynamic and electroanatomical study
Anoop Shetty,Anoop Shetty,Manav Sohal,Zhong Chen,Matthew Ginks,Julian Bostock,Sana Amraoui,Kyungmoo Ryu,Stuart Rosenberg,Steven A. Niederer,Jaswinder Gill,Gerald Carr-White,Reza Razavi,Aldo Rinaldi +13 more
TL;DR: Biventricular endocardial pacing and not MSP was superior to conventional CRT, but was highly site specific, and within individuals, the best pacing modality varied and was affected by the underlying substrate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of state-of-the-art segmentation algorithms for left ventricle infarct from late Gadolinium enhancement MR images
Rashed Karim,Pranav Bhagirath,Piet Claus,R. James Housden,Zhong Chen,Zahra Karimaghaloo,Hyon-Mok Sohn,Laura Lara Rodríguez,Sergio Vera,Xènia Albà,Anja Hennemuth,Heinz-Otto Peitgen,Tal Arbel,Miguel Ángel González Ballester,Alejandro F. Frangi,Marco J.W. Götte,Reza Razavi,Tobias Schaeffter,Kawal Rhode +18 more
TL;DR: The benchmarking evaluation framework can be used to test and benchmark future algorithms that detect and quantify infarct in LGE CMR images of the LV, with the exception of the Full-Width-at-Half-Maximum (FWHM) fixed-thresholding method.
Journal ArticleDOI
Noninvasive Assessment of LV Contraction Patterns Using CMR to Identify Responders to CRT
Manav Sohal,Anoop Shetty,Anoop Shetty,Simon G. Duckett,Zhong Chen,Eva Sammut,Sana Amraoui,Gerald Carr-White,Reza Razavi,Christopher A. Rinaldi,Christopher A. Rinaldi +10 more
TL;DR: Cine CMR can identify a U-shaped pattern of contraction which predicts increased echocardiographic and clinical response rates to CRT in patients with LBBB.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mechanistic insights into the benefits of multisite pacing in cardiac resynchronization therapy: The importance of electrical substrate and rate of left ventricular activation
Manav Sohal,Manav Sohal,Anoop Shetty,Steven A. Niederer,Angela W.C. Lee,Zhong Chen,Tom Jackson,Jonathan M. Behar,Simon Claridge,Julian Bostock,Eoin R. Hyde,Reza Razavi,Frits W. Prinzen,C. Aldo Rinaldi,C. Aldo Rinaldi +14 more
TL;DR: Patients not meeting strict criteria for LBBB appear most likely to derive benefit from MSP, and neither form of MSP provided incremental hemodynamic benefit over BIV(implanted).
Journal ArticleDOI
The antidepressant roles of Wnt2 and Wnt3 in stress-induced depression-like behaviors.
TL;DR: It is found that CRS induced a significant decrease in the expression of Wnt2 and Wnt3 in the ventral hippocampus (VH) but not in the dorsal hippocampus, which indicates essential roles for Wnt 2 and WNT3 in CRS-induced depression-like behaviors and antidepressant.
