Deep carbon cycles constrained by a large-scale mantle Mg isotope anomaly in eastern China
Shuguang Li,Shuguang Li,Wei Yang,Shan Ke,Xunan Meng,Heng-Ci Tian,Lijuan Xu,Yongsheng He,Jian Huang,Xuan-Ce Wang,Qunke Xia,Weidong Sun,Xiaoyong Yang,Zhong-Yuan Ren,Haiquan Wei,Yongsheng Liu,Fancong Meng,Jun Yan +17 more
TL;DR: In this article, a large-scale mantle low δ26Mg anomaly in eastern China has been delineated, suggesting the contribution of sedimentary carbonates recycled into the upper mantle, but limited into the lower mantle.
Journal ArticleDOI
The chemical structure of the Hawaiian mantle plume
Zhong-Yuan Ren,Stephanie Ingle,Stephanie Ingle,Eiichi Takahashi,Eiichi Takahashi,Naoto Hirano,Takafumi Hirata +6 more
TL;DR: The discovery of both Kea- and Loa-like major and trace element compositions in olivine-hosted melt inclusions in individual, shield-stage Hawaiian volcanoes is reported, suggesting that the Hawaiian mantle plume is unlikely to be compositionally concentrically zoned.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lead isotope analysis of melt inclusions by LA-MC-ICP-MS
Le Zhang,Zhong-Yuan Ren,Alexander R. L. Nichols,Yin-Hui Zhang,Yan Zhang,Sheng-Ping Qian,Jian-Qiang Liu +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used a new interface cone assemblage consisting of a Jet sample cone and X skimmer cone to measure Pb isotopes in small olivine-hosted melt inclusions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Measurement of the Isotopic Composition of Molybdenum in Geological Samples by MC‐ICP‐MS using a Novel Chromatographic Extraction Technique
Jie Li,Xirong Liang,Lifeng Zhong,Xuan-Ce Wang,Zhong-Yuan Ren,Shengling Sun,Zhao-Feng Zhang,Ji-Feng Xu +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a novel preconcentration method is presented for the determination of Mo isotope ratios by multi-collector inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (MC-ICP-MS) in geological samples.
Journal ArticleDOI
IsotopeMaker: A Matlab program for isotopic data reduction
TL;DR: IsotopeMaker as mentioned in this paper is a Matlab program for isotope data reduction for in situ LA-MC-ICP-MS isotopic analyses, which can process Sr, Nd and Hf isotope datasets.
