Prevalence of rotavirus and rapid changes in circulating rotavirus strains among children with acute diarrhea in China, 2009-2015.

TL;DR: The burden of diarrhea attributed to rotavirus is high in China, highlighting the potential value of vaccination, and the rapid shift of RVA strains highlights the importance of conducting rotav virus surveillance to ensure that currently marketed vaccines provide protective efficacy against the circulating strains.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparative evaluation of the diagnosis, reporting and investigation of malaria cases in China, 2005–2014: Transition from control to elimination for the national malaria programme

TL;DR: The individual case-based malaria surveillance system in China operated well during the malaria elimination stage, which ensured that malaria cases could be diagnosed, reported and timely investigated at local level, but domestic migrants and overseas populations, as well as cases in the historically malarial non-endemic areas and hard-to-reach area are new challenges in the surveillance for malaria elimination.
