TL;DR: Eleven additional species are recorded for the first time from Venezuela increasing the cicada fauna diversity of the country by 31%.
Abstract: The new Neotropical cicada species Fidicinoides flavipronotum sp. n. is described. Comparisons are made to other members of the genus found in Venezuela. Fidicina distanti Goding, 1925 is transferred to Fidicinoides Boulard & Martinelli and Diceroprocta bilaqueata (Uhler, 1903) is transferred to Ariasa Distant. Eleven additional species are recorded for the first time from Venezuela increasing the cicada fauna diversity of the country by 31%. A checklist of Venezuelan species is provided.

TL;DR: This article examined the relationship between government procurement and corporate valuation and found that contracting with government agencies reduces firms' cost of equity, but it also significantly lowers their sales growth, while negative valuations dissipate as operating performance improves during economy-and industry-wide recessions.
Abstract: We document significantly lower valuations for government contractors in the United States. While contracting with government agencies reduces firms’ cost of equity, it significantly lowers their sales growth. These findings are contingent on economic conditions; negative valuations dissipate as operating performance improves during economy- and industry-wide recessions. The overall negative valuation effect of government contracts holds only for government contractors in strategically unimportant industries, as strategically important contractors have higher valuations, driven by better operating performance regardless of economic conditions. This is the first study examining the relationship between government procurement and corporate valuation. It also adds to the growing body of literature on politically connected firms by analyzing government contractors as a related‑but‑separate channel of governmental influence on the corporate world.

TL;DR: The enactment of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act (BAPCPA) of 2005 marks a transformation in bankruptcy law and policy that is representative of larger shifts in dominant economic and political models from "embedded liberalism" to free market "neoliberalism" as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: The enactment of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act (‘BAPCPA’) of 2005, amending the Bankruptcy Reform Act of 1978, marks a transformation in bankruptcy law and policy that is representative of larger shifts in dominant economic and political models from ‘embedded liberalism’ to free market ‘neoliberalism’. BAPCPA’s provisions are part of the new practices of the emergent neoliberal state as they relate to the American middle-class segment of the population. In disciplining the middle class, BAPCPA shifts the risk and the responsibility of the lending relationship onto consumer debtors.

TL;DR: Herrera infuscata Sanborn sp.
Abstract: The Cuban cicada fauna is determined. Herrera infuscata Sanborn sp. n. is described from the Isle of Youth and represents the first member of the subfamily Cicadettinae in Cuba. Diceroprocta obscurior Davis stat. n. is elevated to species rank. A total of 12 species, five genera, four tribes, and two subfamilies comprise the Cuban cicada fauna. A key to the cicadas of Cuba is provided.
