TL;DR: In this article, the influence of inorganic salts and bases on absorption and fluorescence spectra of diluted aqueous solutions of 5, 6-dichloro-2-[3]-5, 6dichlormylo-1-ethyl-3-(3-sylfopropyl)-2(3H)-benzimidazolidene]-1-propenyl]1-methyl-3-, 3-sulfo-polycyclic polysilicon-polysilicon (3-SPS) benzimide hydroxide
Abstract: We studied the influence of inorganic salts and bases on absorption and fluorescence spectra of diluted aqueous solutions of 5, 6-dichloro-2-[3-[5, 6-dichloro-1-ethyl-3-(3-sylfopropyl)-2(3H)-benzimidazolidene]-1-propenyl]1-ethyl-3-(3-sulfopropyl) benzimidazolium hydroxide, inner salt, sodium salt (TDBC). Addition of inorganic salts or bases led to the appearance of an intense J-band and to the disappearance of monomer bands, even when the concentration of TDBC was as small as 2.3 10 -8 mol/L. Salts and bases also significantly changed the maximal temperature at which the J-band was still observed in the spectra of the solutions. Finally, they affected the position of the maximum and the shape of the J-band.

TL;DR: The results suggest DAMA is safe and effective in the management of DFUs, but additional research is needed.
Abstract: UNLABELLED Delayed closure of foot ulcers is a primary factor leading to lower extremity amputation in patients with diabetes, creating great demand for products or therapies to accelerate the rate of wound closure in this population. This study (ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT02209051) was designed to evaluate dehydrated amniotic membrane allograft (DAMA) (AMNIOEXCEL, Derma Sciences Inc, Princeton, NJ) plus standard of care (SOC) compared to SOC alone for the closure of chronic diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs). MATERIALS AND METHODS This prospective, open-label, randomized, parallel group trial was implemented at 8 clinical sites in the United States. Eligibility criteria included adults with type 1 or type 2 diabetes mellitus who have 1 or more ulcers with a Wagner classification of grade 1 or superficial 2 measuring between 1 cm2 and 25 cm2 in area, presenting for more than 1 month with no signs of infection/osteomyelitis; ABI > 0.7; HbA1c Less than 12%; and serum creatinine less than 3.0 mg/dL. Eligible subjects were randomized (1:1) to receive either SOC alone (n = 14) or DAMA+SOC (n = 15) until wound closure or 6 weeks, whichever occurred first. The endpoint was the proportion of subjects with complete wound closure (defined as complete reepithelialization without drainage or need for dressings). RESULTS Thirty-five percent of subjects in the DAMA+SOC cohort achieved complete wound closure at or before week 6, compared with 0% of the SOC alone cohort (intent-to-treat population, P = 0.017). There was a more robust response noted in the per protocol population, with 45.5% of subjects in the DAMA+SOC cohort achieving complete wound closure, while 0% of SOC-alone subjects achieved complete closure (P = 0.0083). No treatment-related adverse events were reported. CONCLUSION The results suggest DAMA is safe and effective in the management of DFUs, but additional research is needed.

TL;DR: The authors summarizes and comments on the ethics of tax evasion from the Jewish perspective, and summarizes and comment on the Jewish view on the Ethics of Tax Evasion as best as they can.
Abstract: This chapter summarizes and comments on the ethics of tax evasion from the Jewish perspective. The Jewish literature on this subject, although scant, is consistent in holding that tax evasion is generally- unethical. One hesitates to comment on “the” views of any particular religion, especially when the religion is thousands of years old with vast quantities of literature published in numerous languages. One is especially hesitant when one was not raised in the tradition of that religion. However, one must start somewhere, so I will attempt to summarize and comment on the Jewish view on the ethics of tax evasion as best I can.

TL;DR: In this paper, a conceptual framework of HRD learning participation is proposed, from cross-sectional and timeseries perspectives, to describe the pattern, factors, structure, and their interrelationships in human resource development learning participation, with a discussion of model constructs.
Abstract: This article fills a theoretical gap by identifying an understudied subject area for human resource development (HRD) theory building, learning participation of HRD interventions in organizations. The topic has critical significance in current HRD practices, such as concerns on e-learning dropout rates and HRD measurement and evaluation. First, a comprehensive literature review and analysis are presented to identify the research gap in general adult education research and management or HRD-related literature in learning participation. A conceptual framework of HRD learning participation is then proposed, from cross-sectional and timeseries perspectives, to describe the pattern, factors, structure, and their interrelationships in HRD learning participation, with a discussion of model constructs. The conceptual framework is then operationalized with mathematical operations to demonstrate how to empirically test the model. Finally, the applicability of the proposed theory and its implications for future HRD research are elaborated.
