04 Nov 2020TL;DR: In this paper, different algorithms are implemented on autonomous robots like GoPiGo robot and Turtlebot, which can switch back and forth between manual and autonomous control based on human instruction.
Abstract: This paper describes how different algorithms are implemented on autonomous robots like GoPiGo robot and Turtlebot. A* and behavioral-based algorithms are programmed and used in this work. The GoPiGo robot is a vehicle control device; it can work in either manual or autonomous mode. Based on human instruction, the robot can switch back and forth between manual and autonomous control. A switching-based module is used to select the signals in manual mode and automated control signals in the automated mode. This research is a work in progress, and the next stage is using the Turtlebot to achieve the implementation of this work.

01 Feb 2020TL;DR: Novel topologies and intelligent balancing strategies for EV and HEV Energy Storage System (ESS) applications are presented, which can extend the battery life in EV andHEV.
Abstract: The control strategy of Fuel cell (FC), battery and Ultra-Capacitor (UC) modules in Electric Vehicle (EV) and Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) have been studied in proposed 4-Quadrant (4Q) Switch Capacitor (SC) Luo DC/DC bidirectional converter. In addition, FC strategy is one of most popular and favorite Energy Storage System (ESS) in EV for its high efficiency and capability to use hydrogen as the fuel. FCs in conjunction with UC modules can create high power with fast dynamic response, which makes it well suitable for automotive applications. Also, FC include of high energy density and its weight between eight to 14 time less than Lithium-Ion battery (LI-ion) and FC stack can extend the battery life in EV and HEV. This paper presents a proposed Novel topologies and intelligent balancing strategies for EV and HEV Energy Storage System (ESS) applications.
