TL;DR: A Th/U date of 152,000 years obtained from the prominent fifth step, at 44 m elevation, of a flight of 7 well defined raised reef terraces at Cape Namosain, 5 km west of Kupang, allows inference of a preliminary mean uplift rate of 0.3 mm/yr since the last interglacial as mentioned in this paper.

TL;DR: In this paper, electron microscopy study of the suspended matter revealed a large number of Mn-rich particles, which are found principally in the lowoxygenated bottom water and are intimately involved in the geochemical cycling of Mn.

TL;DR: Treatment of storage at temperatures of 10°C, 15 C and 20 C decreased moisture content sjid fungal attack less than at 25°C' and control, and dipping Dithane M45 treatment decreasedFungal attack obviously, but it also reduced seed viability.
Abstract: Y. PURWANTO, R. D. RAHAYU & HADI SUTARNO.1987. Tolerance of salak seeds on moisture content, temperature and fungal attack.Berita Biologi 3(8): 390 -395.Salak (Salacca edulis var.amboinensis) seeds are difficult to withstand in long term storage. For keeping its viability in storage their tolerance on moisture content, temperatur and fungal attack were studied.Decreasing moistur content influenced salak seed viability. Salak seeds would not afford to sprout. If moisture content reached 24.9%.By moisture content of 47.5%,seed viability dropped to 50.00%.Treatment of storage at temperatures of 10°C, 15 C and 20 C decreased moisture content sjid fungal attack less than at 25°C' and control. Dipping Dithane M45 treatment decreased fungal attack obviously, but it also reduced seed viability.

TL;DR: Rachmatika et al. as mentioned in this paper conducted a study on the feeding ecology of Glyptothorax major (Blgr) was conducted in the Alas River South East Aceh, Sumatra during early dry season, January 1983.
Abstract: IKE RACHMATIKA & SOETIKNO WIRJOATMODJO.1988.Feeding ecology of Glyptothorax major Blgr) (Bagaridae, Silurifoimes) in the Ala River,South East Aceh. Berita Biologi. 3(8): 396 399.A study on the feeding ecology of Glyptothorax major (Blgr) was conducted in the Alas River South East Aceh, Sumatra during early dry season, January 1983.Index of Preponderance analysis showed that this species is a benthic-insect feeder It was found that the food habit of immature and mature fish is slightly different. The mature fish's food habit is more varied than the immature's. Based on the concept of the "availability factor"of prey species,a tendency was also found that the mature fish is a more opportunistic of using food resources than the immature's.The supposed mechanisme of this difference and its relation with condition factor values is discussed.

TL;DR: It is a new locality record for the species as well and the eristing description of the latter species is considered inadequate and is hereby corrected based on twelve specimens collected from Lampung, South Sumatra.
Abstract: An account is given on two species of freshwater flat-fish, Achiroides melanorhynchus (Blkr) and A. leucorhyncus Blkr. The eristing description of the latter species is considered inadequate and is hereby corrected based on twelve specimens collected from Lampung, South Sumatra. It is a new locality record for the species as well.
