Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this paper, a theoretical model for hot working when dynamical recrystallization occurs is presented, which is based on a description of the volume distributions of dislocations, which are produced as a result of the continuous grain growth.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: The relation between phase diagrams and the formation of micellar solutions has been studied in this article, where the interfacial tension is very small, and solubilization is maximal when the mixing ratio of ionic (hydrophilic) surfactant and (lipophilic) cosurfactant is optimum.

TL;DR: The properties of thin film drawn from liquids into air have been determined in many investigations as discussed by the authors, because the films form suitable systems for testing the theory of colloidal stability and have provided an improved understanding of the state of the aqueous layer of the film.
Abstract: THE properties of thin film drawn from liquids into air have been determined in many investigations1–3, because the films form suitable systems for testing the theory of colloidal stability4,5. Recent results have provided an improved understanding of the state of the aqueous layer of the film6,7.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the effect of aluminum and polyacrylamide levels on the sedimentation of low-solids (10 g/liter) kaolin suspensions.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this paper, the formation of a complex containing 2 acids and 1 tetraoxyethylene dodecyl ether was investigated by IR and NMR, which showed the influence of low percentages of added acid on the conformation of the ether.
Abstract: Bonds between octanoic acid and oxyethylene dodecyl ethers with varying numbers of oxyethylene ether groups were investigated by IR and NMR. The results gave evidence of the formation of a complex containing 2 acids and 1 tetraoxyethylene dodecyl ether and showed the influence of low percentages of added acid on the conformation of the ether.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this paper, the chemical sedimentation of E. coli bacteria has been studied in the presence of polymeric impurities such as occur in domestic waste-water (proteins, lipids, saccharides).

TL;DR: In this paper, the reaction rates of p-nitrophenyl laurate hydrolysis in a lameller liquid crystalline phase containing water, cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide and hexanol were determined.
Abstract: The reaction rates were determined of p-nitrophenyl laurate hydrolysis in a lameller liquid crystalline phase containing water, cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide and hexanol. The pronounced increase in the rate of reaction taking place in the water content range 50 – 70 percent (W/W) was related to a reduction in activation energy and with changes in the structure of the phase.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: The influence of lignin sulphonate and xylan on the microflotation of microcrystalline cellulose has been studied in this paper, where the influence of xylan has been shown to be significant.
