06 May 2006TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that the Nebenschlusse (4,5) in den einzelnen Filtereinheiten ein hoher Gesamtfilterwirkungsgrad bei vergleichbarem Abgasgegendruck wie bei konventionellen Filteranlagen gewahrleistet.

TL;DR: In this article, a monolithic SCR catalyst with a plu- rality of gas flow channels is presented, where the main step is the preparation of a washcoat slurry comprising titania and vanadium oxide.
Abstract: Method of preparing a monolithic SCR catalyst with a plu- rality of gas flow channels comprising the steps of (a) providing a monolithic shaped substrate with a plurali-5 ty of parallel gas flow channels; (b) coating the substrate with a washcoat slurry comprising titania; (c) drying and calcining the washcoat slurry; (d) impregnating the dried and calcined washcoat with an 10 aqueous impregnation solution comprising a precursor of a vanadium oxide; (e) drying the thus coated and impregnated washcoat at a drying rate of 5 mm/min or less along flow direction through the gas flow channels; and 15 (f) activating the dried, coated and impregnated washcoat by calcining.

22 Sep 2006TL;DR: In this article, the Si-bearing alloy is then purified by heating it at a temperature above the melting point of Si and by injecting Cl 2 and/or a gaseous Si chloride into the melt.
Abstract: The invention relates to the manufacture of high purity silicon as a base material for the production of e.g. crystalline silicon solar cells. SiCl 4 is converted to Si metal by contacting gaseous SiCl 4 with liquid Zn, thereby obtaining a Si-bearing alloy and Zn-chloride, which is separated. The Si-bearing alloy is then purified by heating it at a temperature above the melting point of Si and by injecting Cl 2 and/or a gaseous Si chloride into the melt. This process does not require complicated technologies and preserves the high purity of the SiCl 4 towards the end product. The only other reactant is Zn, which can be obtained in very high purity grades, and which can be recycled after electrolysis of the Zn-chloride.
