TL;DR: A critique of thesharing economy as a common-sense construct is carried out in order to suggest its rejection as an analytical and interpretative category and to question any unconditioned cultural legitimacy of the sharing economy under its promoters’ economic interests.
Abstract: The “sharing economy”, a term often used interchangeably with the “collaborative economy” and “collaborative consumption”, is a recurrent topic both in public and academic debate on new Web-based services characterized by forms of peer-to-peer or business-to-peer sharing. This paper investigates it theoretically as an “anti-concept”, that is, an unnecessary and rationally unusable label forged to replace a concept endowed with greater legitimacy. A critique of the sharing economy as a common-sense construct is carried out in order to suggest its rejection as an analytical and interpretative category and to question any unconditioned cultural legitimacy of the sharing economy under its promoters’ economic interests. Four main critical issues are discussed: (a) the contradiction between the relational and the commercial dimension; (b) regulatory challenges related to the dimensions of labour, trust, risk and agency; (c) the injunction to share; and (d) the consequences of the sharing economy in terms of social change. The notion of neoliberal entanglement economy is proposed to replace that of sharing economy.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of geometric parameters and moisture content on the mechanical performances of 3D-printed isogrid structures in short carbon fiber-reinforced polyamide (namely Carbon PA) was studied.
Abstract: The present paper aims at studying the effect of geometric parameters and moisture content on the mechanical performances of 3D-printed isogrid structures in short carbon fiber-reinforced polyamide (namely Carbon PA) Four different geometric isogrid configurations were manufactured, both in the undried and dried condition The dried isogrid structures were obtained by removing the moisture from the samples through a heating at 120 °C for 4 h To measure the quantity of removed moisture, samples were weighted before and after the drying process Tensile tests on standard specimens and buckling tests on isogrid panels were performed Undried samples were tested immediately after 3D printing It was observed that the dried samples are characterized by both Young modulus and ultimate tensile strength values higher than those provided by the undried samples Similar results were obtained by the compression tests since, for a given geometric isogrid configuration, an increase in the maximum load of the dried structure was detected as compared to the undried one Such discrepancy tends to increase as the structure with the lowest thickness value investigated is considered Finally, scanning electron microscopy was carried out in order to analyze the fractured samples and to obtain high magnification three-dimensional topography of fractured surfaces after testing

TL;DR: In this paper, a pole vault athlete reported significant left lower abdominal and left proximal adductor discomfort in all activities, including basic trunk motion when moving in bed, sit to stand and walking, and was unable to return to the regular training.
Abstract: The purpose of this case report was to present a case of groin pain in a pole vault athlete describing the biomechanical features of the injury`s mechanism, acute medical management, and its successful rehabilitation. A 22-year-old professional pole-vaulter sustained an injury during a regular training session. The athlete reported significant left lower abdominal and left proximal adductor discomfort in all activities, including basic trunk motion when moving in bed, sit to stand, and walking, and was unable to return to the regular training. Clinical evaluation and imaging studies addressed the injury to a case of adductor-related groin pain associated with pubic symphysis degeneration. Treatment consisted of an exercise-based therapeutic protocol based on trunk and core muscle strengthening and stability program, with progressive motor and functional demands. Significant improvements in the overall clinical findings and functional outcomes were reported after 52 days of intervention when the athletes returned to his full athletic activity. These results suggest that an appropriate rehabilitation program, focused on trunk and core musculature stability exercise addressing to sport-related specific demands, should be considered as an optimal conservative method in the multidisciplinary approach for treatment of groin pain and prior to any surgical intervention.

TL;DR: In this paper, the lay-up process of carbon fiber towpregs was investigated by means of a numerically controlled fiber placement machine developed by Comec Innovative, and the effect of both the compaction pressure by the roller and the resin weight fraction prior to cure on the mechanical properties of composite laminate, in terms of ultimate tensile strength and elastic modulus, was studied.
