TL;DR: This review article has focused on synthetic approaches for the creation of [1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine system.
Abstract: [1,2,4]Triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines are very interesting and trend class of fused heterocycles due to their valuable biological properties. Some [1,2,4]-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines possess herbicidal activity,1 also they can act as antifungal,2 antitubercular,3 and antibacterial4 agents. Polycyclic systems containing [1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]-pyrimidine moiety are reported as antitumor,5 as corticotropin-releasing factor 1 receptor antagonists6 or calcium channel modulators;7 they can be used for treatment of Alzheimer's disease8 and insomnia.9 Complexes of triazolo-pyrimidines with Pt and Ru are highly active against parasites10 and can also be used in treating cancer.11 The synthetic ways for the preparation of [1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]-pyrimidines can be divided into two main groups: annulation of pyrimidine moiety to triazole ring and annulation of triazole fragment to pyrimidine ring. The Dimroth rearrangement of [1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a]pyrimidines can also be used for the synthesis of [1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines. In this review article we have focused on synthetic approaches for the creation of [1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine system.

TL;DR: The effect of habitat properties on saproxylic beetles in the centre, at the edge of gaps and in closed stands in one of the last and largest primeval beech forest of Europe (Uholka‐Shyrokyi Luh forest, Ukraine) is investigated.
Abstract: The distribution of canopy gaps has been studied intensively in primeval forest, but their role as keystone structure for biodiversity under natural conditions is still poorly understood. We investigated the effect of habitat properties on saproxylic beetles in the centre, at the edge of gaps and in closed stands in one of the last and largest primeval beech forest of Europe (Uholka-Shyrokyi Luh forest, Ukraine). The abundance of saproxylic beetles was significantly higher in canopy gaps compared to the closed forest. The number of species did not differ significantly between gap centres and closed forest, but was higher in gap centres than at gap edges. Species composition in gap centres was clearly distinct from that in closed forests. The effects of biotic resources, such as the amount of dead wood or the density of big trees (DBH>70 cm), on diversity measures were weak, which might be caused by the abundance of these resources under natural conditions. Since our study site is embedded in a landscape dominated by primeval forest, the effects of habitat properties on saproxylic beetle fauna might differ from that in managed forests of Central Europe. Nevertheless, species assemblages in primeval beech forests play an important role as a reference for conservation efforts in managed beech forests of Europe.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for detecting near-zero apparent motion of objects on the series of CCD-frames using the XY-wise and coordinate-wise decision rules is developed.
Abstract: A computational method for detecting near-zero apparent motion of objects on the series of CCD-frames using the XY-wise and coordinate-wise decision rules is developed. The method is based on checking the statistical significance of the factor of speed of the object apparent motion on the studied series of measurements using the Student's t-test for coordinate-wise decision rules and F-test for XY-wise decision rules. This is the main feature of the developed computational method compared with the conventional decision rules based on the maximum likelihood criterion. The developed computational method for detecting near-zero apparent motion of the objects was tried and tested, and embedded in the block of inter-frame processing of the CoLiTec software package for the operational automated detection of new and tracking of the known asteroids, comets and faint celestial bodies. Using the CoLiTec software package and the proposed embedded computational method, the comet C/2012 S1 (ISON) — long-period sungrazing comet was discovered, which at the time of discovery was the object with near zero apparent motion.

Abstract: In the paper, the deep evolving neural network and its learning algorithms (in batch and on-line mode) are proposed. The deep evolving neural network's architecture is developed based on Group Method of Data Handling approach and Least Squares Support Vector Machines with fixed number of the synaptic weights. The proposed system is simple in computational implementation, characterized by high learning speed and allows processing of data, which are fed sequentially in on-line mode. The proposed system can be used for solving a wide class of Dynamic Data Mining and Data Stream Mining tasks, which are connected with non-stationary, nonlinear stochastic and chaotic signals. The computational experiments are confirmed to effectiveness of the developed approach.

TL;DR: Analysis of the distribution routes of the invasive Chinese sleeper and its parasites supports the ‘enemy release hypothesis’, exemplified by low parasite load, in combination with host-parasite co-invasion.
Abstract: The present study analyzed the distribution routes of the invasive Chinese sleeper (Perccottus glenii Dybowski, 1877) and its parasites, focusing on the Carpathian region of Europe. The invasive Chinese sleeper was sampled using beach seines from two rivers in Ukraine, then assessed for parasites. Published data about its parasites in Central and Eastern Europe were analysed and compared to these current data. Six parasite taxa were found in the studied sites, of which just two - the ciliates Trichodina spp. and the cestode Amurotaenia perccotti — were relatively numerous. All other parasites occurred sporadically in just single specimens. Samples of the invasive Chinese sleeper in Ukraine were infested by primarily just one species, with most individuais entirely lacking parasites. Comprehensive examination of the comparative literature for Chinese sleeper parasitism identified 77 parasitic taxa from the Carpathian region. Three species of parasites likely were introduced to Carpathian region of Europe together with the Chinese sleeper, with all being specialists: the coccidian Goussia obstinata, the monogenean Gyrodactylus perccotti, and the cestode A. perccotti. The occurrence of A. perccotti in Transcarpathian Ukraine reveais the Chinese sleeper’s introduction pathway from the Dniester River basin into the Danube River basin. Findings of G. perccotti on specimens of the Chinese sleeper from the Dnieper River show dispersal through the Vistula River basin, where this parasite was previously recorded. These data thus support the ’enemy release hypothesis’, exemplified by low parasite load, in combination with host-parasite co-invasion.

TL;DR: The research deals with the problem of dividing a group of migrant workers into subgroups according to the degree of risk of infection with the human immunodeficiency virus, and the advantages of the evolutionary method in particular have been proven.
Abstract: The research deals with the problem of dividing a group of migrant workers into subgroups according to the degree of risk of infection with the human immunodeficiency virus. Mathematical model of the problem of clustering as a problem of building up a rule was developed, by which reflection from the set of possible values of characteristics on a set of clusters is carried out and the method of evolutionary clustering of objects was adapted to the selection of groups of migrant workers by constructing a fitness function, which provides assignment of an object to the cluster, the Euclidean distance from the center of which to the object is the smallest. Experimental verification of the developed method for the problem of defining subgroups of persons according to socio–demographic characteristics in the group of migrant workers was performed, the result of which was dividing the group of migrant workers into three groups of clusters in the ascending order by the degree of risk: a group of clusters with high risk, a group of clusters with moderate risk and a group with a relatively low risk. As a result of this division, each group of clusters is homogeneous not only by socio–demographic portraits of its representatives, but also by the degree of prevalence of practice of risky behaviors with regard to human immunodeficiency virus infection. Comparative analysis of the results of the problem solving of clustering of the objects of the set group with high risk by the method of k–means and by the method of evolutionary clustering was carried out by the values of the function, which is the integral sum of the distances from objects to the centres of those clusters where they belong. Therefore, according to the performed calculations, the advantages of the evolutionary method in particular have been proven.

Abstract: Abstract A facile access to 3-alkyl-5-N-allylamino-2-N′-benzoylimino-1,3,4-thiadiazoles via Dimroth rearrangement is reported. Alkylation of 5-allylamino-4-benzoyl-1,2,4-triazole-3-thione with alkyl halides in basic alcohol solution is regioselective. A mechanism for the formation of a 1,3,4-thiadiazole ring by 1,2,4-triazole recyclization is proposed. The obtained compounds were characterized by NMR, elemental analysis and X-ray diffraction analysis.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors found that successfulness of technical skillfulness formation depends on cognitive functions and opportunities for their realization: high attention, quickness of visual perception and operative and logic thinking in processing of verbal (non-verbal) information and taking decisions.
Abstract: Purpose: to find connection between level of cognitive functions realization and successfulness of choreography functions formation in junior dancers. Material: 32 dancers (16 pair) were tested. Sportsmen’s age was 15-16 years; qualification - from first category to candidate master of sports of Ukraine. Results: it was found that functional state of successful sportsmen is manifested in nervous system’s high workability, emotional optimization and feeling of personal comfort. Success of junior dancers is conditioned by high cognitive functions: attention, quickness of visual perception, high operative and logic thinking, when processing verbal information. Besides, it is conditioned by quickness of responding to irritator in non-verbal cognitive test. Attention worsens in successful dancers at the account of increase of information processing quickness. It reflects in weakening of effectiveness and stability of test for non-verbal information processing fulfillment. Conclusions: successfulness of technical skillfulness formation depends on cognitive functions and opportunities for their realization: high attention, quickness of visual perception and operative and logic thinking in processing of verbal (non-verbal) information and taking decisions.

TL;DR: In this article, the light emission properties of aged glassy (g-) and crystalline (c-) As 2 S 3 and freshly fractured glassy As 2S 3 with photosensitive realgar inclusions in the 1.5-4.5 eV spectral range were studied.
Abstract: We have studied the light emission properties of aged glassy (g-) and crystalline (c-) As 2 S 3 and freshly fractured glassy As 2 S 3 with photosensitive realgar inclusions in the 1.5–4.5 eV spectral range and applying different excitation photon energies. Additionally, Raman scattering measurements were performed on g-As 40 S 60 to investigate structural changes caused by corrosion of the glass in air. Major features in the luminescence spectra were observed at 1.65, 1.87, 2.04, 2.26, 2.80 and 3.25 eV photon energies. The 1.65 eV band in photoluminescence spectra of g-As 2 S 3 was identified to be related to the As side by comparison of the photoluminescence spectrum with literature data for As 4 S 4 realgar crystal. A newly observed band at 1.87 eV was assigned to the As side in pararealgar occurring due to the light induced transformation from realgar to pararealgar phase. An oxidation process was found to take place during the aging and photo-aging accompanied with formation of As oxides, indicated by the emission bands at 2.04 and 2.26 eV. A rapid photo-oxidation process was observed in freshly fractured surfaces at room temperature which was connected with the light stimulated realgar-pararealgar transformation.

TL;DR: In this paper, a recurrent scheme for finding the quasiclassical solutions of the onedimensional equation got by the separation of variables from the Schrodinger equation in prolate spheroidal coordinates has been elaborated.
Abstract: A recurrent scheme for finding the quasiclassical solutions of the onedimensional equation got by the separation of variables from the Schrodinger equation in prolate spheroidal coordinates has been elaborated. By means of this scheme, WKB expansion quasiclassical two-Coulomb-centre wave functions at large distances between the fixed positive charges (nuclei) have been constructed for the entire space of the negative particle (electron). Our method provides simple uniform estimates of the eigenfunctions at arbitrary internuclear distances R, R ≫ 1 included. In contrast to the perturbation theory, the interaction need not be very small in the quasiclassical approximation. Its applicability domain is hence wider. That permits analyzing qualitative laws for the behavior and properties of quantum mechanical systems.

TL;DR: The refractive index in the spectral region far from the absorption edge is determined within the generalized single-oscillator model, and the calculated results are found to be in good agreement with experimental data.
Abstract: This paper reviews the optical properties, such as refractive index, optical dielectric constant, and reflection coefficient of the Hg3Te2Cl2 crystals. The applications of the Hg3X2Y2 crystals as electronic, optical, and optoelectronic devices are very much determined by the nature and magnitude of these fundamental material properties. The origin of chemical bonding in the crystals is very important for definition of the physical and chemical properties. The main structural feature of the Hg3X2Y2 crystals is the presence of covalent pyramids [XHg3] and linear X-Hg-X groups. Optical properties are calculated according to the model proposed by Harrison. The refractive index in the spectral region far from the absorption edge is determined within the generalized single-oscillator model. The calculated results are found to be in good agreement with experimental data.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the influence of the reduction model power on the accuracy of the object's position assessment using the relative method and showed the presence of a sinusoidal component in the dependence of the residual of parameters of celestial objects when the cubic reduction model is used.
Abstract: We investigated the influence of the reduction model power on the accuracy of the object’s position assessment using the relative method. The research considered reduction polynomials of the third and fifth power, their influence on the accuracy of the celestial object’s position assessment and distribution of reference stars in the frame. The result of the analysis showed the presence of a sinusoidal component in the dependence of the residual of parameters of celestial objects when the cubic reduction model is used. It also showed almost complete elimination of this component in case of using the fifth-power reduction model, which increased the number of reference stars in the frame’s edges as well as accuracy indicators of position assessments of celestial objects. The assessment criteria of significance of the reduction model coefficients using the Fisher's f-criteria proved the validity of application of the polynomial model with the power, that is higher than cubic. The results of the research can be used to improve the accuracy of estimation of celestial objects positions in the frame in the CCD-automated processing systems, which assess the position of objects in the entire field of view of the telescope.

TL;DR: For an integer-valued compound Poisson process with geometrically distributed jumps of a certain sign defined on a finite regular Markov chain, this paper established relations (without projections) for the moment-generating functions of extrema and their complements.
Abstract: For an integer-valued compound Poisson process with geometrically distributed jumps of a certain sign [these processes are called almost upper (lower) semicontinuous] defined on a finite regular Markov chain, we establish relations (without projections) for the moment-generating functions of extrema and their complements. Unlike the relations obtained earlier in terms of projections, the proposed new relations for the moment-generating functions are determined by the inversion of the perturbed matrix cumulant function. These matrix relations are expressed via the moment-generating functions for the distributions of the corresponding jumps.
