TL;DR: The steps I took while completing such an analysis for a position for a nurse practitioner with WOC certification in upstate New York are described.
Abstract: Increasing numbers of advanced practice nurses who practice within the WOC specialty are challenged by the need to justify their role by demonstrating clinical and fiscal benefits to the employing agency. This View From Here column describes the steps I took while completing such an analysis for a position for a nurse practitioner with WOC certification in upstate New York.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of the loss of a client to suicide are explored and the role of a supervisor in supporting a supervisee after a client's suicide is presented, using cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and narrative paradigms.
Abstract: Many professional counselors will experience the loss of a client to suicide. The effects of this loss are explored in this article. The supervisor’s role in supporting a supervisee after a client’s suicide is presented. Additionally, creative interventions that can be used by supervisors to support supervisees after the loss of a client are provided. These creative techniques are theoretically grounded within the cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and narrative paradigms.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors explore, via the experiences of successful project management practitioners, best practice strategies for integrating virtual project teams through data analysis, and identify the 10 most common themes relevant for virtual project team teams.
Abstract: The steady increase in project failure rates is leaving businesses searching for better integration techniques to virtualize their project environments. Through virtualization, organizations may have positive impacts on communities across geographical boundaries and resource constraints. The focus of this phenomenological study was to explore, via the experiences of successful project management practitioners, best practice strategies for integrating virtual project teams through data analysis. The conceptual framework included von Bertalanffy’s general systems theory, decomposition model of business process and project management frameworks, and the recomposition approach. Twenty-two senior project managers with more than 5 years of experience managing virtual project environments participated in semistructured telephone interviews. The van Kaam process employing normalization and bracketing approaches in data analysis resulted in the emergence of 34 thematic categories. The 10 most common themes culminated in the identification of strategies relevant for virtual project teams. The major themes pertained to 3 broad areas: (a) structure that accommodates skills and technology for virtual team success, (b) governance leading to efficient virtual project team management, and (c) collaboration practices across diverse environments. This study involved the exploration of the experiences of the participants. Using the van Kaam method for normalization of the data and clustering like experiences into thematic statements, the study provided a plethora of new information concentrated on 10 themes that emerged.

TL;DR: This paper examined expert site supervisors' supervision cognitions while preparing for, conducting, and evaluating their supervision sessions with master's-level counseling students via concept mapping, and summarized experts' cognitions in four areas: Supervisory relationship, conceptualization of supervision and supervision interventions, Administrative/Logistical Considerations of Supervision, and Assessment of Supervisees and Their Practice.
Abstract: We examined expert site supervisors’ supervision cognitions while preparing for, conducting, and evaluating their supervision sessions with master’s-level counseling students via concept mapping. Experts’ cognitions were summarized in four areas: Supervisory Relationship, Conceptualization of Supervision and Supervision Interventions, Administrative/Logistical Considerations of Supervision, and Assessment of Supervisees and Their Practice. We discuss results and offer implications for research, practice, and training.
