TL;DR: In this paper, how to write a technical paper is discussed. But they focus on the technical aspects of the paper and do not discuss the content of the technical paper itself, which is different from ours.

TL;DR: In this article, the basic concepts of state variables and state equations were presented, and some methods for solving the latter were presented as well as the properties and evaluation of the fundamental matrix.
Abstract: In the first part of this article, we presented the basic concepts of state variables and state equations, and some methods for solution of the latter. In this second and concluding part, we dwell upon the properties and evaluation of the fundamental matrix. An Appendix on matrix algebra is also included.

TL;DR: In this paper, the photodetector and the preamplifier, employing the amplifying device, have been suitably integrated so that the performance is not degraded, and examples of current practice in these areas in the context of fiber optic systems have been given in this paper.
Abstract: The design of photodetector-amplifying device pairs for fiber optic systems requires compromises between conflicting requirements at several levels. At the level of the photodetectors one has to design to get maximum quantum efficiency and speed, and minimum dark current and noise. The amplifying device has to give large gain at high speed without deteriorating signal to noise ratio. The photodetector and the preamplifier, employing the amplifying device, have to be suitably· integrated so that the performance is not degraded. Examples of current practice in these areas, in the context of fiber optic systems, have been given in this paper.

TL;DR: In this article, the basic principles of superconductivity were reviewed and the concepts underlying high-temperature superconductivities using Y-123 as a prototype and the basic technique employed for synthesis and characterisation of high temperature superconductor Y—123 (bulk) has been presented along with experimental measurements.
Abstract: This paper gives an indepth review of the basic principles of superconductivity. It also presents the concepts underlying high temperature superconductivity using Y—123 as a prototype. The basic technique employed for synthesis and characterisation of high temperature superconductor Y—123 (bulk) has been presented along with experimental measurements.

TL;DR: The evolution of receiver designs used in high speed fiber optic communication systems is presented and the basic guidelines of the design with associated constraints are given.
Abstract: In this paper, the evolution of receiver designs used in high speed fiber optic communication systems is presented. The basic guidelines of the design with associated constraints are also given. Some recent receiver designs are illustrated, alongwith the future trend.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this paper, different line codes used for digital optical fibre communication have been reviewed and the required minimum redundancy and the bound on the digital sum of the code words of block codes which use alternate coding technique have been given.
Abstract: In this paper, different line codes used for digital optical fibre communication have been reviewed. The required minimum redundancy and the bound on the digital sum of the code words of block codes which use alternate coding technique have been given. Code tables and the properties of 1B2B, 3B4B, 5B6B and 7B8B block codes have been included. Continuous power spectra of these codes have been plotted, although the derivations of these spectra are not provided. Bit insertion codes: mB1C, DmB1M and PFmB(m + 1)B, have also been described. Finally, the implementation details of a 5B6B line coder-decoder have been given.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this article, an overview of coherent optical fiber communication systems is presented and the performance limits under shot noise limited operation for various modulation and demodulation schemes are compared with respect to the quantum limit.
Abstract: This paper presents an overview of coherent optical fiber communication systems. The fundamental principle is described and the performance limits under shot noise limited operation for various modulation and demodulation schemes are compared with respect to the quantum limit. The practical constraints in system implementation and their remedies are outlined, and finally the potential system applications are discussed.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this paper, the response of the permanent magnet moving coil galvanometer through Laplace transform was investigated and a text book on electrical measuring instruments, to the best of author's knowledge, does not incorporate this material.
Abstract: This paper deals with the response of the permanent magnet moving coil galvanometer through Laplace transform. No text book on electrical measuring instruments, to the best of author's knowledge, incorporates this material. Thus, the material presented here will enable the students to learn galvanometer behaviour through the Laplace transform, the most modern analytical tool.

TL;DR: This paper provides a tutorial in which the basic principle of optical code division multiple access (CDMA), its inherent advantages and disadvantages are discussed and some of the methods for constructing appropriate codes are reviewed.
Abstract: This paper provides a tutorial in which the basic principle of optical code division multiple access (CDMA), its inherent advantages and disadvantages are discussed. We review some of the methods for constructing appropriate codes, and the upper hounds on their maximum size. The optical implementations of the devices used in such networks for coding and decoding baseband data are also discussed.
