Abstract
A slight different kind of radial stub is presented in this work which is, basicaly, a triangular taper on the planar transmission line being used (e.g. microstrip, stripline, etc.). Its shape is an isosceles triangle (as the Greek letter "delta"). The simplification on its contour was made just to allow the synthesis method to be iterative in nature. The "delta" dimensions are evaluated from the desired reactance, the angle "?", the frequency and the substrate parameters. (see fig. 1). Some practical results and applications are also presented.

Microstrip/slotline transitions: modeling and experimental investigation

TL;DR: In this article, an analysis of microstrip/slotline transitions is given using a network description through transmission-line models, and the validity of the modeling results is verified experimentally by measuring the transmission coefficient of a cascade of two transitions separated by a slotline in the frequency range from 1 to 16 GHz.

A Modified UWB Wilkinson Power Divider Using Delta Stub

TL;DR: In this article, a modified UWB power divider formed by implementing one delta stub on each branch is proposed, which makes branch line shorter and stub's size smaller than those of other works based on UWB using radial stub.

CAD-oriented lossy models for radial stubs

TL;DR: In this paper, a lumped equivalent circuit model for both series and double-shunt (butterfly) connected radial stubs has been developed, which includes conductor and dielectric losses but also radiation ones, which play an important role in microstrip circuit elements.

Numerical Modeling of Microstrip Radial Stub

TL;DR: In this article, a simple numerical algorithm used to model microstrip radial stub is presented, where the cascaded interconnections of uniform transmission lines with incremental length dl are considered for the calculation of input impedance of a radial stub.

Wideband and compact Wilkinson power divider utilizing series delta-stub and folded stepped-impedance transmission line

TL;DR: In this article, a Wilkinson power divider is modified using four-series delta-stub and folded stepped-impedance transmission line (FSITL) in order to achieve a reduced circuit size of 84% and fractional bandwidth of 116%.

Accurate Models for Microstrip Computer-Aided Design

E. Hammerstad, +1 more
TL;DR: Very accurate and simple equations are presented for both single and coupled microstrip lines' electrical parameters, i.e. impedances, effective dielectric constants, and attenuation including the effect of anisotropy in the substrate as mentioned in this paper.
