A novel approach for simultaneous compression and encryption of image in wireless media sensor network

TLDR
The proposed Discrete cosine and Discrete Wavelet transform based algorithm for simultaneous image compression and encryption is proposed, which is useful for reliable data transmission and reduces data redundancy significantly.
Abstract
In this paper, a Discrete cosine and Discrete Wavelet transform based algorithm for simultaneous image compression and encryption is proposed, which is useful for reliable data transmission. The Secure Force encryption algorithm used is pertinent to wireless sensor networks (WSN). The efficacy of our proposed algorithm is evaluated on the basis of the PSNR (Peak Signal to Noise Ratio), MSE (Mean Square Error), computing time and percentage compression. The proposed algorithm helps in reducing data redundancy significantly which makes it energy efficient while considering it's utilization for WSN.

Error Prone Transmission System to Resist Data Loss in a Wireless Sensor Network

TL;DR: An error resistant technique is proposed for WSN to address all of the mentioned causes for data loss and offers minimum data loss during the communication process by offering higher Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) and low Information Loss compared to the other existing error control techniques.

Characterization of Signals From Multiscale Edges

TL;DR: The authors describe an algorithm that reconstructs a close approximation of 1-D and 2-D signals from their multiscale edges and shows that the evolution of wavelet local maxima across scales characterize the local shape of irregular structures.

Optical image encryption based on input plane and Fourier plane random encoding.

TL;DR: A new optical encoding method of images for security applications is proposed and it is shown that the encoding converts the input signal to stationary white noise and that the reconstruction method is robust.
