A Modified SRP-PHAT Functional for Robust Real-Time Sound Source Localization With Scalable Spatial Sampling
TL;DR: This letter introduces an effective strategy that extends the conventional SRP-PHAT functional with the aim of considering the volume surrounding the discrete locations of the spatial grid, increasing its robustness and allowing for a coarser spatial grid.

Speaker Tracking Using Recursive EM Algorithms
Ofer Schwartz,Sharon Gannot +1 more
TL;DR: This work forms the localization task as a maximum likelihood (ML) parameter estimation problem, and solves it by utilizing the expectation-maximization (EM) procedure, and proposes to adapt two recursive EM (REM) variants based on Titterington's scheme.

Robust acoustic source localization based on modal beamforming and time–frequency processing using circular microphone arrays
TL;DR: This paper presents a localization framework based on circular harmonics beamforming and T-F processing that provides accurate localization performance under very adverse acoustic conditions and discusses the validity of the proposed approach and comparing its performance with other state-of-the-art methods.

Two-microphone multi-speaker localization based on a Laplacian Mixture Model
TL;DR: Results using public available data show the capability of the method to successfully detect the DOA of several sources in real environments.

Binaural Speaker Localization Integrated Into an Adaptive Beamformer for Hearing Aids
TL;DR: Novel algorithms to localize simultaneous speakers using four microphones distributed on a pair of binaural hearing aids are presented and a new adaptive beamformer is introduced, which combines the GSC with multichannel speech presence probability estimation and achieves superior source separation performance in noisy environment.
