The geometric model, and the calibration procedure are demonstrated by calibrating the EIKONIX (EC850) camera, and are useful for aerial photograph analysis, machine vision, and digital photogrammetry.Abstract:
An algorithm is proposed for accurate camera calibration. Attention is focused on finding a suitable distortion model for a digital camera. The geometric model, and the calibration procedure are demonstrated by calibrating the EIKONIX (EC850) camera. Several experiments are made with an average control point location error of about 6.6 mu m and 1/40000 over the field of view. The results obtained are useful for aerial photograph analysis, machine vision, and digital photogrammetry. >read more

Resampling digital imagery to epipolar geometry
TL;DR: This paper describes the procedure of computing normalized images of aerial photographs with respect to the object space based on the exterior orientation of the stereo pair, and shows the case of minimizing the decrease in resolution.

Conceptual issues of softcopy photogrammetric workstations

TL;DR: In this paper, a conceptual approach to digital photogrammetry is presented with particular attention given to the automatic orientation and the surface reconstruction module, and it is suggested that major progress toward autonomous softcopy workstations depends more on advances on the conceptual level rather than on refinement of system components such as hardware and algorithms.
