TL;DR: Analysis of interviews with family members of 8 children admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit in a public hospital in the state of Santa Catarina in southern Brazil demonstrated the presence of a multidetermined communication network which decisively affected the interaction process in the context of the Pediatrics Intensive Care Unit.
