Analyzing of consumer price index influence on inflation by multiple linear regression
TLDR
In this paper, the authors applied multiple regression analysis to determine how consumer price index, monetary aggregates, discount rate, exchange rate, and exchange rate affect inflation, which is one of the most important indicator for economy and markets.Abstract:
Inflation is one of the most important indicator for economy and markets. Inflation represents a rate of rising of general level of prices for goods and services in regard to the currency falls of purchasing power. Although there many investigation of inflation phenomenon there is still missing gap about the factors analyzing which have influence on inflation. In this paper is applied multiple regression analysis to determine how consumer price index, monetary aggregates, discount rate, exchange rate affect inflation.read more

Uncertainty and global sensitivity analysis of levelized cost of energy in wind power generation
Mi Dong,Ya Li,Dongran Song,Jian Yang,Mei Su,Xiaofei Deng,Xiaofei Deng,Lingxiang Huang,M.H. Elkholy,Young Hoon Joo +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed an analytical framework for uncertainty in the cost of wind power, and the levelized cost of the energy model is improved by considering inflation and the learning curve, and sensitivity analysis based on variance is conducted to study the impact of the uncertainty factors on the levelised cost of energy.

The impact of COVID-19 on freight transport: Evidence from China
TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors investigated the impact of COVID-19 on the freight transport and found that COVID had a positive impact on the road freight transport turnover under a higher number of confirmed cases and a lower level of gasoline production.

Etemadi multiple linear regression
Sepideh Etemadi,Mehdi Khashei +1 more
TL;DR: A new methodology is proposed for multiple linear regression (MLR) modeling in which the models' reliability is maximized instead of its accuracy, and the proposed MLR model can be regarded as an appropriate alternative in modeling fields, especially when more generalization is desired.

The Evolution of Inflation Expectations in Japan
Masazumi Hattori,James Yetman +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors model inflation forecasts as monotonically diverging from an estimated long-run anchor point towards actual inflation as the forecast horizon shortens, and find that the estimated anchors across forecasters have tended to rise in recent years, along with the dispersion in estimates across forecasts.

Default clustering of the nonfinancial sector and systemic risk: Evidence from China
TL;DR: Li et al. as discussed by the authors used data on 327 listed companies over the period 2007-2016 and found that stock market volatility, fixed asset investments and credit-to-GDP gap are the key determinants of the time series default cluster variations.

Measuring uncertainty based on rounding: New method and application to inflation expectations
TL;DR: The authors introduced a method of quantifying the uncertainty associated with round responses in pre-existing survey data and found that more uncertain consumers are more reluctant to spend on durables, cars, and homes.
