TLDR
In this paper, the authors derived the solution for the electromagnetic field occurring when a stationary, axisymmetric black hole is placed in an originally uniform magnetic field aligned along the symmetry axis of the black hole.Abstract:
Using the fact that a Killing vector in a vacuum spacetime serves as a vector potential for a Maxwell test field, we derive the solution for the electromagnetic field occurring when a stationary, axisymmetric black hole is placed in an originally uniform magnetic field aligned along the symmetry axis of the black hole. It is shown that a black hole in a magnetic field will selectively accrete charges until its charge becomes $Q=2{\mathrm{Bb}}_{0}J$, where ${B}_{0}$ is the strength of the magnetic field and $J$ is the angular momentum of the black hole. As a by-product of the analysis given here, we prove that the gyromagnetic ratio of a slightly charged, stationary, axisymmetric black hole (not assumed to be Kerr) must have the value $g=2$.read more

Reissner-Nordström perturbation framework with gravitational wave applications
TL;DR: In this article, a new convenient framework for modeling Reissner-Nordstrom black hole perturbations from charged distributions of matter is presented, which can quantify how gravitational wave observations of compact binary systems would be affected if one or both components were charged.

Application of a symplectic integrator in a non-integrable relativistic system
Abstract: We present a detailed comparison of several integration schemes applied to the dynamic system consisting of a charged particle on the Kerr background endowed with the axisymmetric electromagnetic test field. In particular, we compare the performance of the symplectic integrator with several non-symplectic routines and discuss under which circumstances we should choose the symplectic one and when we should switch to some other scheme. We are basically concerned with two crucial, yet opposing aspects - accuracy of the integration and CPU time consumption. The latter is generally less critical in our application while the highest possible accuracy is strongly demanded.

On long range axion hairs for black holes
TL;DR: In this paper, Chern-Simons axion couplings with gravity were investigated for light axion fields around charged black holes, with or without spin. And they showed that the axion acquires a profile controlled by the black hole conserved charges.

Electromagnetic signatures of strong-field gravity from accreting black-holes
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors summarize several fruitful aspects of electromagnetic signatures from accretion disks in strong-gravity regime in the outlook of upcoming satellite missions and ground-based telescopes, and mention a purely geometrical effect of polarization angle changes upon light propagation, which occurs near the black hole event horizon.
