TLDR
In this article, the CAPS markers derived from single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) selected through a genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS) technique exhibit accurate polymorphism for eight apple cultivars of Fuji, Gala, Golden delicious, Earlyblaze, Hongo, Kent, Aikanokaori and Jonahgold.
Abstract
The present invention relates to CAPS markers for discriminating apple cultivars and to uses thereof, wherein the CAPS markers derived from single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) selected through a genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS) technique exhibit accurate polymorphism for eight apple cultivars of Fuji, Gala, Golden delicious, Earlyblaze, Hongo, Kent, Aikanokaori and Jonahgold, and thus the eight kinds of apple cultivars can be effectively discriminated and can be applied very usefully in molecular breeding research and apple breeding industry of the apple cultivars.
