Management of cardiac arrest in pregnancy: A systematic review
Farida M. Jeejeebhoy,Carolyn M. Zelop,Rory Windrim,José Carlos Almeida Carvalho,Paul Dorian,Laurie J. Morrison +5 more
TL;DR: The consensus on science pertaining to resuscitation of the pregnant patient is described, Usual defibrillation dosages are likely appropriate in pregnancy and chest compressions in left lateral tilt are less forceful compared to the supine position.

Improved performance of maternal-fetal medicine staff after maternal cardiac arrest simulation-based training
Nelli Fisher,Lewis A. Eisen,Jyothshna Bayya,Alina Dulu,Peter S. Bernstein,Irwin R. Merkatz,Dena Goffman +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the impact of simulation-based maternal cardiac arrest training on performance, knowledge, and confidence among Maternal-Fetal Medicine staff and found statistically significant improvement in timely initiation of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (120 vs 32 seconds, P =.042) and cesarean delivery.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Use of Simulation to Teach Clinical Skills in Obstetrics
TL;DR: The evidence for the use of simulation-based training across a broad range of obstetrical emergencies is explored, collaboration amongst disciplines is promoted, and the formal introduction of simulation training into a curriculum is discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cardiac arrest during pregnancy: ongoing clinical conundrum.
TL;DR: A robust detailed national and international prospective database was recommended by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation in 2015 to facilitate further research unique to cardiac arrest during pregnancy that will produce optimal resuscitation techniques for maternal cardiac arrest.
