Complex formation by molybdenum(II) chloride
TL;DR: In this paper, a comparison of the ultra-violet reflectance spectrum of Mo(II)chloride with that of the acid H2[Mo6Cl8. Cl6] showed that each molybdenum of the cage is coordinated externally with a chlorine, the sixfold coordination being completed through intercage bridging.
