Patterns of regional head and neck lymph node metastasis in primary conjunctival malignant melanoma.

TL;DR: Temporal conjunctival melanotic lesions tend to metastasise clinically to pre-auricular lymph nodes and nasal conjunctivas metastasised to the submandibular lymph nodes, and patterns appear consistent with laboratory-based anatomically mapped lymphatic drainage basins of the conjunctiva.
Journal ArticleDOI

Simultaneous segmentation and classification of the retinal arteries and veins from color fundus images.

TL;DR: A novel method that allows to directly detect the vessel crossings, as well as preserving the continuity of both arteries and veins at these complex locations, and achieves highly competitive results in the artery/vein classification, while significantly improving the vascular segmentation.

Segmentation of Vessels in Fundus Images using Spatially Weighted Fuzzy c-Means Clustering Algorithm

TL;DR: An algorithm for the extraction of Blood Vessels from Fundus images using Matched filter and Thresholding based on Spatially Weighted Fuzzy c- Means (SWFCM) clustering algorithm, which demonstrates superior performance over global thresholding and a vessel detection methods recently reported in the literature.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparative evaluation of femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery and conventional phacoemulsification in eyes with a shallow anterior chamber.

TL;DR: In eyes with shallow ACs, compared with conventional phacoemulsification, FLACS maintained clearer corneas, showed less increase in CCT, lower AC inflammation, and better UDVA in the early postoperative period.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

A hybrid filtering approach to retinal vessel segmentation

TL;DR: A novel vessel enhancement filter for retinal images that combines the eigenvalues of the Hessian matrix, the response of matched filters, and edge constraints on multiple scales is proposed.
