Combined Variable Sample Size, Sampling Interval, and Double Sampling (CVSSIDS) Adaptive Control Charts

TLDR
In this paper, an adaptive chart which combines variable sample sizes, sampling intervals, and double sampling features called CVSSIDS control chart is proposed, which uses three different sample sizes and two different sampling intervals.
Abstract
In this article, an adaptive chart which combines variable sample sizes, sampling intervals, and double sampling features called CVSSIDS control chart is proposed, which uses three different sample sizes, two different sampling intervals, two warning limits, and two different control limits. To evaluate the efficiency of the proposed scheme versus different schemes, average time to signal, average number of samples to signal and average number of observations to signal are utilized. In addition, the minimum ATS values of the proposed chart are computed. Finally, the proposed chart is compared to standard Shewhart (SS) chart and several adaptive control charts.

An adaptive approach to EWMA dispersion chart using Huber and Tukey functions

TL;DR: In this paper, an adaptive EWMA for dispersion parameter in connection with Huber and Tukey's bisquare functions is proposed. And the performance measures used in this study include average run length, extra quadratic loss, relative average run lengths, and performance-comparison index.

TL;DR: The recognition that an EWMA control scheme can be represented as a Markov chain allows its properties to be evaluated more easily and completely than has previously been done.

Exponentially weighted moving average control schemes: properties and enhancements

TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluate the properties of an exponentially weighted moving average (EWMA) control scheme used to monitor the mean of a normally distributed process that may experience shifts away from the target value.

X charts with variable sampling intervals

TL;DR: The variable sampling interval (VSI) chart as discussed by the authors uses a short sampling interval if the sample is close to but not actually outside the control limits, and a long sampling interval for the sample if it is closer to target.
