Communication technology for nanosensors and nanodevices applications in the health industry

TLDR
This research focuses on possible adoption of existing RFID technology to microcommunication unit suitable for use with static micro- or nanosensors.
Abstract
Future micro- and nanomedical applications will demand new communication solutions to transmit data from nanosensors and nanodevices placed in human body to macroworld devices and vice versa. The importance of communication with devices placed in human body also rises as an extensive research and development in telehealth area is currently done promising a significant improvement of quality of life to patients demanding extensive or permanent health monitoring and diagnostics. Recently the research focuses more on development of new communication methods, either primarily intended for communication or enabling communication as one of the possible applications. However, adoption of existing communication technology to micro- and nanoapplications would offer significantly cheaper and faster application. For this reason my research focuses on possible adoption of existing RFID technology to microcommunication unit suitable for use with static micro- or nanosensors.
