Design-point excitation for non-linear random vibrations

TLDR
In this article, it was shown that the design-point excitation is identical to the excitation that generates the mirror image of the free-vibration response when the oscillator is released from a target threshold.

Tail equivalent linearization method for nonlinear random vibration

TL;DR: The Tail-Equivalent Linearization Method (TELM) as discussed by the authors is a non-parametric linearization method for nonlinear random vibration analysis, which employs a discrete representation of the stochastic excitation and concepts from the first-order reliability method, FORM.

Optimization algorithms for structural reliability

TL;DR: In this paper, several optimization algorithms are evaluated for application in structural reliability, where the minimum distance from the origin to the limit-state surface in the standard normal space is required, and the objective is to determine the suitability of the algorithms for application to linear and nonlinear finite element reliability problems.
