Determination of ascorbic acid with immobilized green zucchini ascorbate oxidase.

TLDR
Ascorbate oxidase from zucchini squash was immobilized onto CH-Sepharose via carbodiimide and the properties of the immobilized enzyme were found to be similar to those of the free ascorbate oxid enzyme.

A Single Calibration Graph for the Direct Determination of Ascorbic and Dehydroascorbic Acids by Electrogenerated Luminescence Based on Ru(bpy)32+ in Aqueous Solution

TL;DR: It was demonstrated that DA, a nonelectroactive compound, is ECL active and is responsible for the ECL behavior of H2A and the role of the OH- ion in the reaction mechanism of the two analytes appeared to be crucial.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ascorbic acid analysis using high-performance liquid chromatography with coulometric electrochemical detection

TL;DR: This method was used to quantitate the amounts of ascorbic acid in human polymorphonuclear leukocytes and bovine adrenomedullary chromaffin granules and the calculated concentrations are in agreement with previously published data.
Journal ArticleDOI

The determination of ascorbic acid and uric acid in human seminal plasma using an HPLC with UV detection

TL;DR: This assay is a simple and reproducible HPLC method for the simultaneous measurement of ascorbic acid and uric acid in human seminal plasma using HPLC with UV detection and investigation their clinical significance as antioxidants protecting male germ cells against oxidative damage.
Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of plasma ascorbic acid by high-performance liquid chromatography with ultraviolet and electrochemical detection

TL;DR: A convenient and reliable reversed-phase liquid chromatographic method for the routine determination of ascorbic acid with ultraviolet detection is described, which avoids the use of modifier and ion-pairing reagent.

In vivo voltammetry with electrodes that discriminate between dopamine and ascorbate.

TL;DR: Measurements in the cortex or in the caudate nucleus of animals lesioned by prior injection of 6-hydroxydopamine show that a substance with voltammetric properties identical to those of ascorbic acid also increases in concentration in these areas as a result of amphetamine administration.

Backmixing and mass transfer in the design of immobilized‐enzyme reactors

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of dispersion and mass transfer resistance on the degree of conversion in an immobilized-enzyme reactor have been considered theoretically, assuming that the enzymes obey a Michaelis-Menten relationship and backmixing can be characterized by a dispersion model.

Electrochemical assay for brain ascorbate with ascorbate oxidase.

TL;DR: For optimum precision, the response of the Analyzer should be kept large by selecting the syringe size according to the sulfur content of the analyte and maintaining a reasonably rapid syringe drive speed.
