Diagenetic history and reservoir evolution of tight sandstones in the second member of the Upper Triassic Xujiahe Formation, western Sichuan Basin, China

TLDR
The second member of the Upper Triassic Xujiahe Formation is an important target for tight gas exploration in the western Sichuan Basin and the diagenetic history and reservoir evolution were investigated using integrated analyses of petrography, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), cathodoluminescence (CL), fluid inclusion microthermometry and stable carbon and oxygen isotopes as discussed by the authors.

Systematics of fluid inclusions in diagenetic minerals

TL;DR: The use of fluid inclusions as a means of understanding the physical and chemical history of fluids in sedimentary basins, but it also has revealed important limitations which have required that a new approach must be employed to effectively use fluid-inclusions.

Influence of Texture on Porosity and Permeability of Unconsolidated Sand

TL;DR: In this article, an investigation was made of the relations among porosity, permeability, and texture of artificially mixed and packed sand, to determine the approximate porosity and permeability values to be expected for unconsolidated sand of eight grain-size subclasses and six sorting groups.
