Analytic solutions of the nonlinear radiation diffusion equation with an instantaneous point source in non-homogeneous media

TL;DR: In this paper, analytical solutions to the nonlinear radiation diffusion equation with an instantaneous point source for a non-homogeneous medium with a power law spatial density profile are presented and compared in detail to numerical simulations, and a good agreement is achieved.
Book ChapterDOI

Explicit Blow-Up Time for Two Porous Medium Problems with Different Reaction Terms

TL;DR: In this article, the blow-up time of classical solutions to porous medium problems with n ≥ 1 was studied. But the authors focused on the blowup times of the classical solutions in a bounded domain of n = 3 and in terms of an auxiliary function.
Journal ArticleDOI

Interaction of gas fronts

TL;DR: In this article, the local behavior of gas fronts is investigated, where the gas flow can be modelled by the porous medium equation and when a gas front impinges upon a fixed boundary where the pressure is zero.

On Effects of Hydrodynamic Interaction in Active and Passive Suspensions : Multi Particle Simulations

TL;DR: In this article, a systematische untersuchung in Abhangigkeit der Kanalgrose is described, in which the authors discuss the effects of the effective Viskositat on Kugel-Feder Modelle.
