The accuracy of management dividend forecasts in Australia
TL;DR: The authors examined the accuracy of managers' dividend forecasts in Australian IPO prospectuses and found that managers' forecasts are substantially more accurate and less biased than their earnings counterparts, and that differences in retained ownership and the predictability of earnings help explain why some dividend forecasts are more accurate than others.
