Abstract
The definition and development of a modified discrete describing function, referred to as dual input discrete describing function, is considered. High-frequency signal is injected into the non-linearity to quench the limit cycles in closed-loop autonomous relay-type sampled-data systems. An analytic procedure is described, which aims at deriving the dual input discrete describing function for a relay in the Z domain.

Identifiability of Linear Time-Invariant Differential-Algebraic Systems. I. The Generalized Markov Parameter Approach

TL;DR: In this paper, the identifiability of linear time-invariant (LTI) differential-algebraic systems is tested using the generalized Markov parameters (GMPs).

Identifiability of Linear Time-Invariant Differential-Algebraic Systems. 2. The Differential-Algebraic Approach

TL;DR: A mathematical model is identifiable if and only if there is a unique relationship between each parameter value and the input-output behavior of the model as mentioned in this paper, and if a model is not identifiable, there is...

Identifiability of non-linear differential algebraic systems via a linearization approach

TL;DR: In this article, it is shown that strong local identifiability of the linearized DAE system provides a sufficient condition for the strong local identification of the original DAE systems, i.e., a system is identifiable if there exists a unique relationship between its input-output behaviour and the parameter values.

Linear Pulsewidth Modulation Under Fluctuating Power Supply

TL;DR: To overcome nonlinear distortion in the dc power supply, a new carrier signal is generated by multiplying the triangular dither signal with the dc supply voltage, without changing the basic dither frequency, thereby removing the distortion.

A Decentralized Multivariable Robust Adaptive Voltage and Speed Regulator for Large-Scale Power Systems

TL;DR: In this paper, a decentralized multivariable robust adaptive voltage and frequency regulator is proposed to ensure the stability of large-scale inter-connected generators, where the connection parameters (i.e. load, line and transormer parameters) are assumed to be unknown.

Forced oscillations and suppression of oscillations in nonlinear sampled-data systems

TL;DR: In this paper, a procedure is developed to investigate and predict the properties of certain types of forced oscillations in a class of nonlinear sampled-data control systems, and the results are checked on the IBM 7094 digital computer.
