Functional diversity: back to basics and looking forward

TL;DR: It is suggested that non-significant results have a range of alternate explanations that do not necessarily contradict positive effects of functional diversity, and areas for development of techniques used to measure functional diversity are suggested.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ethnic Diversity and Economic Performance

TL;DR: In this article, the authors survey and assess the literature on the positive and negative effects of ethnic diversity on economic policies and outcomes and highlight several open issues in need of further research.
Posted Content

A General Framework for Analysing Diversity in Science, Technology and Society

TL;DR: The resulting approach offers a way to be more systematic and transparent in the treatment of scientific and technological diversity in a range of fields, including conservation management, research governance, energy policy and sustainable innovation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Phylogeny and Molecular Evolution of the Green Algae

TL;DR: Current understanding of organelle genome evolution in the green algae is summarized, genomic insights into the ecology of oceanic picoplanktonic prasinophytes, molecular mechanisms underlying the evolution of complexity in volvocine green algae, and the Evolution of genetic codes and the translational apparatus in green seaweeds are summarized.
Journal ArticleDOI

Clinical and Economic Impact of Common Multidrug-Resistant Gram-Negative Bacilli

TL;DR: During the last decade, the efforts to combat multidrug-resistant (MDR) microorganisms mainly focused on gram-positive bacteria, namely, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and vancomycin-resistant enterococci.
