Dynamic stability of pipes conveying pulsating fluid

TLDR
The dynamic stability of supported cylindrical pipes converying fluid, when the flow velocity is harmonically perturbed about a constant mean value, is considered in this paper, and explicit stability conditions for perturbations of small intensity are obtained by using the method of averaging.

Dynamic stability of pipes conveying fluid

TL;DR: In this paper, the dynamics and stability of flexible pipes containing flowing fluid are examined in a general way and it is shown that conservative systems are subject not only to buckling (divergence) at sufficiently high flow velocities, but also to oscillatory instabilities (flutter) at higher flow velocity.

Dynamics of a System of Articulated Pipes Conveying Fluid. I. Theory

TL;DR: In this paper, a general theory is derived to account for the free motions of a chain of articulated pipes through which there is a constant flow of incompressible fluid, and the Lagrangian method of analysis is used, and a slightly unusual aspect of the method arises in that the complete physical system has unbounded energy.

Unstable oscillation of tubular cantilevers conveying fluid I. Theory

TL;DR: In this paper, a universal stability curve is constructed corresponding to conditions of neutral stability and hence separating stable and unstable regimes, by finding solutions to the equations of motion both by exact methods and also approximately by expressing the motion as the sum of the first few eigenfunctions of a cantilever beam.
