An efficient and robust line segment matching approach based on LBD descriptor and pairwise geometric consistency

TL;DR: A line matching algorithm which utilizes both the local appearance of lines and their geometric attributes to solve the problem of segment fragmentation and geometric variation and is accurate even for low-texture images because of the pairwise geometric consistency evaluation.

Edge Drawing: A combined real-time edge and segment detector

TL;DR: A novel edge segment detection algorithm that runs real-time and produces high quality edge segments, each of which is a linear pixel chain, hence the name Edge Drawing (ED).

EDCircles: A real-time circle detector with a false detection control

TL;DR: This work proposes a real-time, parameter-free circle detection algorithm that has high detection rates, produces accurate results and controls the number of false circle detections, and makes use of the contiguous set of edge segments produced by the Edge Drawing Parameter Free (EDPF), hence the name EDCircles.

Indoor positioning and wayfinding systems: a survey

TL;DR: This article reviews different computer vision-based indoor navigation and positioning systems along with indoor scene recognition methods that can aid the indoor navigation, and investigates and contrasts the different navigation systems in each category.

Interior construction state recognition with 4D BIM registered image sequences

TL;DR: A novel method that increases the degree of automation for indoor progress monitoring by recognizing the actual state of construction activities from as-built video data based on as-planned BIM data using computer vision algorithms.

A Computational Approach to Edge Detection

TL;DR: There is a natural uncertainty principle between detection and localization performance, which are the two main goals, and with this principle a single operator shape is derived which is optimal at any scale.

Use of the Hough transformation to detect lines and curves in pictures

TL;DR: It is pointed out that the use of angle-radius rather than slope-intercept parameters simplifies the computation further, and how the method can be used for more general curve fitting.

A survey of the Hough transform

TL;DR: This survey will provide a useful guide to quickly acquaint researchers with the main literature in this research area and it seems likely that the Hough transform will be an increasingly used technique.
