Precipitation of amorphous SiO2 particles and their properties

TL;DR: The experimental conditions were optimized for the synthesis of amorphous SiO2 particles by the reaction of neutralization of sodium silicate solution with H2SO4 solution as discussed by the authors.

Silica Precipitation in Acidic Solutions: Mechanism, pH Effect, and Salt Effect

TL;DR: This research reveals that precipitation of silica products from acid dissolution of minerals can be studied apart from the mineral dissolution process, and follows a two-step process--formation of 5 nm primary particles followed by particle flocculation--which becomes exponentially faster with increasing HCl concentration.

Silica Removal using Aluminium Sulphate and Sodium Aluminate during the Bamboo Cooking Process

TL;DR: In this paper, the desilication effects of aluminium sulphate and sodium aluminate on kraft bamboo pulp during the cooking process were investigated, and the residual aluminium ion concentration in the resulting black liquor was measured by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) to evaluate the scaling properties of black liquor during evaporation process.
