Asymptotic formulas for perturbations in the electromagnetic fields due to the presence of inhomogeneities of small diameter

TL;DR: In this article, the authors consider solutions to the time-harmonic Maxwell's Equations of a TE (transverse electric) nature and provide a rigorous derivation of the leading order boundary perturbations resulting from the presence of a finite number of interior inhomogeneities of small diameter.
Journal ArticleDOI

Asymptotic formulas for perturbations in the electromagnetic fields due to the presence of inhomogeneities of small diameter II. The full Maxwell equations

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors consider solutions to the time-harmonic Maxwell Equations and provide a rigorous derivation of the leading order boundary perturbations resulting from the presence of a finite number of interior inhomogeneities.

A review of three magnetic NDT technologies

TL;DR: In this article, a review of magnetic NDT technologies is presented, which includes magnetic flux leakage (MFL), magnetic Barkhausen noise (MBN), and recently developed metal magnetic memory (MMM).
Journal ArticleDOI

Novel millimeter‐wave near‐field resistivity microscope

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors demonstrate a technique for contactless mapping of resistivity or dielectric constant of surfaces and films with a spatial resolution better than 100 μm using a specially designed resonant slit antenna and achieve subwavelength spatial resolution of λ/50.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pulsed eddy-current nondestructive testing of ferromagnetic tubes

TL;DR: PEC technique provides a significant improvement on present EC tools for NDT of ferromagnetic tubes by allowing simultaneous measurement of average wall thickness and inner diameter with one detector coil separated from the exciter by one to two tube diameters.
